  • That cyclist was moving very fast. Without knowing the intersection all I can say is that there may be an element of racing the light (trying to get through the light before out goes red)

Your health care comments are not cleaver.

  • I hope the cyclist was ok.

  • Okay Fred, let's try it one more time: green means go, red means stop.

  • Good thing Fred Clark lost. He is a disaster.

  • @oprahisevil No, asshole - we need people like Clark because he stands up for working families. You fucking right wingers are trying to make an issue out of nothing.

  • @Oceanpacifica1968 No, retard - Fred Clark ran a red light and gravely injured someone due to his recklessness. Fred Clark is not fit for public office. And he lost. And you union people lost after spending all your millions trying to buy the election. Your stupidity is laughable. Only liberal hypocrites would try to force people to bike to work, only to have Fred Clark run them over.

  • Cut that bicyclists medicare! No unemployment for you! If he was drunk this would be considered the republican trifecta.

  • Isn't running a red light illegal?? LOL, try and defend this loser fred clark all you want, he was at fault 100%.

  • Brain dead cyclist. Anticipated the light change and didn't proceed with caution. Smart cyclist just don't ride that way. You have to anticipate the red light runners. Sorry for his bad fortune though.

  • @SLmanDR if its green you go if its red you stop it wasnt the cyclists fault

  • @PraetorianL33T actually cyclists are expected to follow the same rules as autos... Though the fault is greater than 50% towards Fred Clarke, you can clearly see that the cyclist is passing the bus from lane designed for right turns only (not one that is intended for bicycles, buses and right turns) which means he passed the bus illegally.

So who's at fault, they both are and neither should be painted as the sole "victim".

  • Did he go to jail for this? Oh wait I forgot. He's a politician!

  • Leading cause of serious injury + death in people age 0 to 25 in the USA are automobile-related accidents. But why do we hear about germs, mold and sexual predators all the time? Can you say Detroit + big oil?

  • Those road bikes are just too fast. You cannot ride them on a sidewalk. With a mountain bike sure, but not a road bike. I quit riding my road bike a long time ago for this very reason. I value my skeleton too much. You know what I hate? A media that overemphasizes the risks of germs and sexual predators (yes, these are a problem) to hide the fact that the number one cause of serious injury and death in people age 0 to 25 in the USA are accidents involving cars. Can you say big oil + Detroit?

  • Sad situation but the cyclist just zoomed into the newly changed green light. We've all seen cars running through reds at the last split second while driving. You usually don't start to go on the green till you see the intersection is clear and crossing traffic has or is coming to a stop. Even more crazy was the bicyclist couldn't even see the status of the intersection with a huge bus blocking his view of the crossing traffic! This so could have been avoided!

  • @deathtoaccounts He had the green light so therefore the cyclist had the right of way. The politician ran the red light.

  • @hunhun23

I understand that but the point I was trying to make is when you get a new green light you should make sure that the opposing traffic is stopping. especially when riding a bike or using a crosswalk. Heck, I do it when driving my truck. The bike just ZOOMED into the intersection on a fresh green light.

  • @deathtoaccounts funny it was so green the bus was rolling and stopped

  • @hunhun23 Since he didn't have a clear view of the intersection and was in a Right Turn lane only (not a dedicated bike lane) he was in the wrong as well.

  • looks like he needs to change the laws to where you can't ride your bike in the fucking road. your putting your lives in the hands of young drivers texting, drunk, and asians. i have nothing against regular people riding their bikes but those cyclist people acting like they are in the tour de france are just stupid and so are a lot of drivers. it's just common sense. ride on the sidewalk or a bike trail. look both ways. you learn these things as a child.

  • I know what you're saying but judging by the camera it looks like the cyclist had a green light...

    lol @ asian drivers

  • It's not that the cyclist was being stupid. The car ran a red hit him.

  • @kiqueaceves No... they both were being stupid... watch the video again and pay attention to what the cyclist is doing illegally.

  • This guys was wrong for running the red light no doubt at all. But I HATE when idiots ride bikes on the roads. Anyone who does is just asking to get hit by a car so it servs that guy right. Get on a bike trail where you belong. Dont be an idiot and ride on busy road and cause an accident.

  • he was in the bike path smart one so in ur face

  • @97133936 That was a Right Turn only (not a dedicated bike lane)... watch the whole video and you'll see.

  • Um, it is legal to ride on the road...

How can you justify a guy running a red to hit a cyclist who was going through a green..

  • Good thing he is a politician otherwise he would get in trouble for this.

  • what an idiot

  • fuck the police and that asshole in the suv too

  • five seconds later, and it would've shown the suv hitting the bus...

a lot of lucky people that day.

    crappy roads.

  • it's not 1984 anymore dumb ass. go home, learn to spell, and make another shitty movie.

  • The democrats say you need better health care. Here is the reason why? Guess which party the driver is associated with? Was he rushing to work to "ram thru" health care plan? This is what happens when you rush important things too fast.......

  • fred clark (democrat) needs to be voted out asap

  • Ha!

I watched this on TODAY program on NBC and of course they could mention his party he belonged to.

    HYPOCRATES, not Democrats. lol

I figured as much for Wisconsin.

  • The fact that you think that this has anything to do with his political party makes me say, I've seen more brains on a monkey's balls.

  • fact: where was he headed to -answer work

fact: where does he work - in the minnesota government as a democrat

fact: what have democrats been trying to do - pass laws quickly before the public can read them.

lesson : haste makes waste - BREAKING LAWS (going thru red light) to try to get to work fast to MAKE LAWS is ridiculous.

  • That's retarded the reason he hit the cyclist is because he was a douche bag and he cut the red light.

  • not only that but he was drinking and driving.

  • @newera1234567 FACT: you are an idiot

  • @newera1234567 Fact: you are an idiot

  • It has NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS, it has to do with the fact that he should not have a car licence.

As for the politics, Why the hell would you be opposed to universal affordable healthcare. The US is probably the only country in the Developed world who does not have a National Health system.

I would rather live in any other western country other then the US, go to Canada, see what their health system is like and you will want a national health system.

  • LOL, all politicians think they have to drive hybrids to be accepted.

  • Notice that the SUV entered the intersection about 1 1/2 seconds after the bus started forward. The driver probably thought he could run the light ahead of the bus. He was right.

  • That hurts just to watch it.

  • And these are the people who make our laws? Another SUV Jerkoff.

  • Love the pedestrian in the background just walking along completely oblivious to what just happened. Good to hear the cyclist wasn't seriously hurt.

  • Yeah, I was wondering about that, too.

So much for being a Good Samaritan

    .

  • The biker received non-life threatening injuries.

  • Did he live?

  • If you are in WI, don't vote for this douche bag again.
