Thanks, works great! Did it without cutting any wires. Pulled brass posts out of euro OEM connector. Use a extra small screwdriver to release the clip inside. Stuck the euro posts into the wire entry ends of the US DOT connector. Brass posts made contact, ensured color separation and secure contact with elec tape wrap. US DOT connector keep as built connection, euro posts bootstrap into connector.
The OEM signals' wires are intact. Take off the center screw on the front side of the "clamshell", and then two small screws from the top corners of the back side. From there, you can find the original wires coming off the backside of the OEM signals, which need to be spliced with the wires going to the DOT signals (same color codes).
