i was just out there today- no one bothered me THIS time- but before old man came out on his four wheeler talking about private property- i went in the back way this time- from the freeway overpass you walk along santa susanna down to the ranch- its about twenty minutes or so walk-saw a couple deer-
i actually found a picture of that guy on his weird 4-wheeler on the internet a few weeks ago, lol! wish i had bookmarked it! i presume he's the person you see off in the distance [on the dirt road between the mountain and the creek] starting around 0:30 in ronnieb641's video 'Charles Manson Spahn Ranch.' guess he works for the church at rocky peak.
oh well, i'd prefer a nut on a beefed-up golf cart patrolling relatively pristine land to a bunch of 'civilized' suburbs spoiling everything.
is it the pdf file from ww w. parks. ca. gov that shows the boundaries of the santa susana state historical park? i learned about that one thanks to ronnieb641 and the comments on his youtube video 'manson family hangout.' before i read them, i wrongly presumed all of spahn ranch was the property of the church at rocky peak. thanks for the offer though. i'm very interested in spahn ranch and its history. if i lived in CA - - especially anywhere near LA - - i'd visit spahn ranch often. haha!
i do visit alot- yes, thats the link with the map- its a archeological historial/environmental assesment of the surrounding areas with a section called spahn ranch. So if anyone goes out there and gets told to leave point to the "santa susanna state historic park " sign thats on the ranch.

thanks for uploading! not everyone has been able to get that close to where shorty was buried without getting chased out by someone yelling about 'private property'. i'll bet it would be kind of spooky there at night! the state park owns the 'triangle' of land that made up the 'front ranch': the corral, the stables, the movie set, the barn, george spahn's house. the church at rocky peak owns land east and south of the triangle. [not sure about west] as for the land where shorty shea was buried - - according to the aerial photo on charliemanson. com - - i don't know WHO owns that. maybe ronnie b. knows.
your right- i would guess the railroad owns the strop along the tracks- its a good thing the parks does own that piece of land cuz they'd build a bunch of fucking houses up there and rape it more then they've done. I went up by iverson ranch today and i swear there was a backyard next to the trail within spitting distance. ATWA
