Wonderful! I was so glad to see Pauline again, with whom I stayed with in 1997 helping on the cornfield as she would call me crazy sometimes, for not knowing how to do something!
Much gratitude to Pauline Whitesinger, with whom i learned a good deal!
Great video and thanks for sharing. I enjoy learning from the elders. They always inspire me. I'm away from home but someday I will return and It will be a wonderful day.
I think you should let her talk 1st then after that u can translate after what she says!!I think it would be sweet like that caz i want to no what her story is and what to here what shes satin!!
I just saw a short film about Pauline at the American Indian Film Festival here in SF. I loved Pauline but I thought the film fell short in terms of giving historical background-- yours fills in all the blanks! Thank you so much for sharing it.
The translation was done by a trusted friend of mine and Pauline's. I didn't have the budget to pay him for a proper translation, so I used what I had, with permission.
As a bilingual person myself, I totally understand the issues associated with translation and always make sure the true essence of what is being said gets translated.
