Okay what happened was, 5 years ago down here in Louisiana we have this strawberry festival in a city called Ponchatoula and I was trying to turn around on a two lane road with ditches on both sides. Well the back of my truck for stuck in the ditch and I didn't have anything for the rednecks to tie off to that were trying to pull me out. I had hundreds of goons trying to help so after that I brainstromed and came up with the d-ring shackles. No drilling or anything
@SuperJubbo yes i had to cut holes in valance!! i went mud riding a long time ago and got stuck and friends didnt have anything to tie off on except part of my suspension which could have broke.........
dont go with bullet proof dude, yeah they make cool lifts, but FTS has it made, the knuckles on Bulletproof lifts are boring
that and the fact 12" bulletproof lifts cost around 8k with installation
im not sure where your from but if you live in cali go down to riverbank to show off motors sports or go to forbidden motor sports, either of those guys will do it up good for you, id choose forbidden they got my bud a 16"FTS chrome driveshaft, orange knuckle, leafs, chromed shocks, all for 6k
@MPRdrummer - hey thanks for the info dude! Don't get me wrong, I'm not wiping with 20's! to be honest I dont really give a flying f@#$ what kind of lift i go with well except whiplash, I guess it is a popular lift and I haven't heard any bad reps yet but hell ya they cost a lot! A lot of which I dont have, actually fabtech makes a driveshaft spacer for my truck and I am about to buy 3rd spacer b/c I dont have the time or money to make a two piece driveshaft work or piece one together
@MPRdrummer-- piece one together because apparently my driveshaft is too short so I might have to put 3 spacers together to give me the length I need and supposibly the guys in my area can't add length to my aluminum shaft nor make me a steel one b/c they think it would bow from being too long so I might take the lift off and/or lower it idk when I get on the interstate I can't go faster than65-70 without getting a bad vibrating from the length of my driveshaft so this is a huge circle ugh
nice truck man, im looking to purchase the same lift but for a 98 model and I will be the guy pulling the people out of the mud haha not the one getting stuck, and how much did u pay for your flowmasters?
@largemouthbassrigs --hey man I can't give you an accurate price b/c it was literally the first mod I added but I would say it wasn't much like $250-300 idk but I love it
@88Lbody - nah i really don't go offroad too much because 1)Ive been told going mudding with my truck is like going mudding in a car and 2)seems like every time I go thru some what deep water,I do ignition coil damage!Ive got about 6 replaced! So I actually just got 8.8- 4.56 motive gears to be installed and I'm soon to buy 18" rims and all terrain tires for better gas mileage! most of my miles are highway or city so i'll do better with all terrains

Does it see serious wheeling?
I guess Ive just had horrible experiences with cv axles on trucks, thats why now for me it solid axle all the way.
