after looking at the video a couple of times it looks like he might have actually crashed twice, I think he actually goes down just before he goes in to the grass, theres a bobble/flinch where it looks like he goes down on his right side (right at the 4sec. mark) look at his head/helmet it jerk to his right all of a sudden, he saves it, unfortunately hes all messed up right after the save and in a tight turn and goes into the grass.

It does kind of look like he fell asleep :P My guess is ether he lost power or came off the throttle that + the lean angle he had when the speed drops below a critical level gravity wins over inertia. At low speed counter steering is ineffective at those lean angles as the giro on the front wheel isn't strong enough. Three options, Power up out of the bend risking a low-side, Try to flick it over and probably end up with a tank slapper or high-side. or coast into a soft grassy verge :P
