Thousands of Turkish troops have invaded northern Cyprus after last-minute talks in the Greek capital, Athens, failed to reach a solution.
Tension has been running high in the Mediterranean island since a military coup five days ago in which President Archbishop Makarios, a Greek Cypriot, was deposed
In 1973, after a 20 year campaign to starve the Turkish Cypriots forcing many of them to flee to Turkey, a Greek terrorist organisation, EOKA-B, Makarious cronies and the Army of Greece attempted genocide against the Turks of Cyprus to finish the job. Turkey intervened militarily because no one else would. Countries that believe Greek propaganda banned the book "The Genocide Files" by Harry Scott Gibbons (available at amazon). The Nazis used to burn books too. Shame on the Greeks.
