I think the pushing other dogs away with their paw thing is a trait of the American Akita Inu. They all seem to do it. We have a friend with an 13 year old female Akita who does this to our 1 year old English Bulldog all the time. Our bullie still has puppy brains.
Ya japanese Akitas r usually orange and white, brindle, or just plain white. American Akitas are usually a pinto type color, ( brown spots and black spots over white fur) or just tan and black. Search the breed differences up.^^
