  • @cogitoractual I know, right?

  • I'm not thumbs up-ing the top comment because it's at 100 and i don't want to ruin it

  • Whole album is class

  • AMAZING!!

  • Comment removed

  • a slide? a cirlcle? your life? who the fuck knows the monotonous hand cymbal thing is awesome... damn im hi

  • My favorite Death Cab song.

And that's a tough choice, too.

  • this song makes me feel like living.

  • Sounds like "Trainer" by Pinback

  • The guitar tone in this song is pretty awesome.

  • Always come back to this song.

  • @amandagoldhammer09 Really? I just bought this album to support the band so they can keep making music.

  • 1:52 xD

  • 0:12

    perfect

  • @greyhoundstations what occured at 0:12 that struck you as perfect?

  • I actually prefer Death Cab for Cutie over sex.

  • @xkb360x i prefer death cab during sex

  • @jbjb64 Death cab came on durring for me.. and it was soo akward.. going from metal to mellow.. xD

  • @pandas1995 is it because you started smoking weed haha?

  • @MrXMGMTx I'm to high to go back and look at my comment. I honestly can't remember what I put bahahaha. But really, if it was about liking the song, or the band, not at all. I loved them long before smoking. But if I said something else, sure. Let's go with that. xD

  • @pandas1995 You're a lazy f*cking fat slice of what's wrong with society.

  • @MrDeliMeatSlicer I lol'd.

  • @MrDeliMeatSlicer Stoner pandas are rare buddy O_o Support or partake in its actions instead of being hater.

  • @jbjb64 I think DCFC would put a tragic tone on the sex.

  • @PaulSLambeth make up sex?

  • @xkb360x that's weird... Or your partner isn't very good in bed hahaha

  • @xkb360x indeed

  • @xkb360x No.

  • This song sooo describes my life....

  • "I am waiting for another repeat" <3

  • I would not be able to live without this band...

  • This is my ringtone :D

  • its awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ever since i bought transatlanticism, i overlooed such tracks like expo 86 and title and registration by being overshadowed by my love for tiny vessels and a lack of color. SILLY ME

  • @TheMrEgghead Yep, check out Transatlanticism, Sound of Settling, and Title and Registration :]

  • The 1939 New York World's Fair had the first TV at the RCA exhibit.

  • @morningstar808 ...sweet ,man!

  • My parents actually went to the real Expo 86 back in, well, 1986!

  • @LaurenAnyone: My parents did too. They came back with a promotional VHS tape about everything cool about Expo 86.

  • death cab for cutie = life

  • @Cocoforeves no way to put it better my friend :) except that DCFC is more beautiful than life ;D

  • @RutilusPenna haha very true!! :)

  • Excellent beat. I have this album.

  • holy FUCK death cab is sooo fucking good i literally can't help but smile. good memories for the win

  • I don't understand how DCFC can make such good music all the time. Every song they write sounds so unique and hits you with as much as beauty and intensity as the last

  • @noonikins Thank you.

  • i am trippin outt, this song is too good

  • FEARME is better!!!!

  • R4KI are shit

    =]

  • the start is kinda like something team sleep might do awsome song btww

  • the guitar reminds me of a rocked-out nick drake.

  • You fail. David Babum is OBVIOUSLY not anyone's aunt, seeing as he's a GUY.

  • wouldnt your brothers sister also be your sister? therefore your sisters mother is your mother and her aunt is your great-aunt, therefore your Great-Aunt is David Babum, witch i doubt, because im pretty sure you have to be girl to be a aunt :/

  • i love how ben writes the things that we all feel in our hearts but can't put them into words

  • i meant to press the thumbs up not down. youtube apparently wont let this back. so really +10 not 8

  • omg dude, how many good songs these guys hav. im tired of being impresssed by them

  • i agree with you on that one

  • Pretty Nice song! :) I like this song and all the other ones from "Translatlanticism" and "Plans" ... Best work of DCFC! :)

  • i feel like most bands have a catchy chorus and everything else is filler. with dcfc however, the song itself is catchier than the chorus!

  • one of my favorite songs by them for sure

  • everyone has toput big large comments. so ill make it short and sweet.

    i like this song =]

  • i've known about death cab for a while, but haven't really listened to them. they're really good though! to me they're like the rock side of postal service.

  • same singer

  • ya i kno. ben gibbard

  • nice song

  • When life deals you lemons just say f#ck it and bail

  • I love that movie kunu was so funny

  • i just found out about this band a few months ago, i really like them!! their slow songs are their best ones, imo. :)

  • They're great aren't they? If you like death cab then try The Airborne Toxic Event (their acoustic songs) , Jack Johnson, Snow patrol, and Interpol. those are all great Artists, they're Indie too, except for Jack Johnson, he's acoustic. but they're pretty similar to Death Cab

  • This is very far from accurate.

  • I like all those bands but honestly they are not like death cab haha I would say go with The Postal Service, because that is still Ben Gibbard. And most people who like Death Cab also like Bright Eyes, both deep and meaningful lyrics. and Jack Johnson is indie too

  • i love postal service, dcfc and bright eyes..you are right

  • I don't think Jack Johnson should be included with these other 3 bands. Indie maybe, but more simple/acoustic/upbeat. Death Cab, Bright Eyes, and Postal Service are more symphonic.

  • Well the Postal Service involves Ben, so it's almost automatically amazing.

  • not almost, it is amazing.

  • Don't get me wrong I LOVE the postal service, I just prefer death cab :)

  • Don't worry the postal service and death cab are both great :D

  • god dammit, deathcab4c is a youtube user... I was replying to someone telling him that the bands that this user recommended were nothing like dcfc. sorry for the confusion...

  • chill out

  • I keep coming back to this song. So good.

  • Strangely, this sort of reminds me of me. Not the breakup part or anything like that. Just "I am waiting for something to go wrong." I'm a weird person. I want something to happen! But that's not the point. Death Cab, for some reason I'll never know, makes me connect with it as if it actually happened to me. Even though it didn't. That is so peculiar...and amazing.

  • thats awesome!

  • coolio

  • Haha dude, it´s just the same with me...

when i´m in a difficult situation or relationship and too afraid to move or change , i´m just waiting for something to go wrong XD

  • I love Death Cab, but whats with all these religious paragraphs ? Belive in what you belive in..... what others belive in is up to them

  • I don't know what all that history stuff is. It seems to me that the song's about somebody who keeps getting back together with this girl, and she keeps hurting him over and over. The cycle never ends! And every time it gets worse. Poor guy.

  • he often does lost love songs

  • I like how that has nothing to do with Dcfc.

  • I agree with one thing Marks said and thats "religion is the opiate of the masses" I agree religion has killed more people than drugs and prostitution ever has. Quite possibly " CS Lewis said, the unrepentent preacher is more closer to hell than a prostitute."

  • Culminating with the destruction of the temple in 586 B.C., and their captivity under the Babylonians Israel's unfaithfulness was paid with millenia of foreign domination. You can call that whatever you like, but the fact of the matter is, if God is the center of a culture, when you take away God, the culture implodes. It's easy to be outraged at something. The logic of outrage is simple. It's based upon the ideas of what we would never do.

  • ...Then it can have no lasting impact upon the invading culture. A study of the short lists of modern empires and kingdoms can show both the benefit and cost of such influence. Considering that Israel was a theocracy at the time, if they had not committed themself to the destruction of those cultures, then their own religion would be contaminated, their link to God cut, and their ultimate destruction imminent. And, ironically, that's exactly what happened.

  • Murder, on the other hand, is never justified in Scripture. Deliberate murder is consistently punished. Even David, a man upon whom God's pleasure rested, had to pay the price for a murder he committed. But you're not talking about murder, you're talking war, about the complete and utter destruction of ancient civilizations that occupied the Promised Land. The logic behind utter annihililation is obvious and brilliant (militarily and politically), if the native culture is destroyed...

  • The term of service would only extend beyond those seven years if and only if the then slave would voluntary desire it. Western culture tends to associate the horrific bondage of modern history as the standard of slavery throughout the ages. Such an assumption is quite misinformed. Slaves had rights that were listed in the Pentateuch. They weren't the same rights as a free man, but if they were abused, they were to be set free. Not exactly the system that so horrifies us.

  • Odd that Mr. Federalist would call history trivial. Less odd that Mr. (ex)Christian would consider murder and slavery the legacy of the Bible. I'm assuming you're talking about the Pentateuch teachings on slaves and the early destruction of ancient cultures depicted therein? The system was that you could only take people as slaves if they owed you money they could not pay. They would remain in service for a time agreed upon by a third party, that would be no longer than seven years.

  • nak a poo mak a roo heis nie kapput nak nowinzki jurkinski nackro machtiski najisfulwilter nickertisky mackoroo nee kast ropurtkinsky nug

*audio preview that, bahahahahahah, im a dork,

  • i totally just did that bahahahahahaha fun stuff =]

  • does anyone no a download like for this?

  • I'm from Vancouver... and I don't get it.

  • this song makes me think of a bird tangled up in red yarn for some reason

  • This song makes me think of love and humanity and technology.

  • I love how the comments are hardly related to the video.

But this song does have innuendo. Probably unintentional, but it's there.

  • For some reason, this song brings me back to preschool. I find that especially strange...because I really can't figure out the relation.

  • i kinda get why you would think that, as soon as you said preschool it kinda makes sense. if you think about kids sitting around a teacher on the carpet before recess or whatever.

  • Or during recess O_O

That's odd...I don't really think I've ever completely listened to the lyrics before, and thought of them that way...I have a really sick mind. We'll put it that way.

  • lol sick mind?

i don't get how that would make you have a sick mind

  • "We slide from top to bottom, then we turn and climb again"

"The squeaking of our skin against the steel has gotten worse"

For some reason I didn't really realize...you get it

    Honestly...wow :O

  • hahahah, that's EXACTLY what I thought it was!

  • Oh, I'm 15, but I developed my sick mind pretty early. One needs to start thinking like a pervert at a young age to always immediately switch to to a Quagmire point of view, rather than realizing the actual intent of meaning

    ;D

I hope you've watched Family Guy before

  • wow...disturbing!

its funny because your screen name is superchristian102

therefore i originally thought that meant you were a jesus freak

    but christian is your name?

    hmm.

well...have fun with your sick mind!

  • LMFAO

Yeah, I was a Jesus freak when I was about twelve. Three years ago ;3

  • that's a real shame, if you change your mind God is always waiting with open arms for you to come back, like that story of the produgal son.

  • Right... Did the voices tell you that? :O

  • the bible actually

  • The bible told me that slavery and murdering people is alright... Go figure! =D

  • That's funny, the Bible told me the most important thing was forgiveness, and then a bunch of people called me silly because I didn't agree with a bunch of trivial facts about history and geology and things.

    Go figure?

  • Everything having to do with the past is a bunch of trivial confusion. It's just a matter of what you choose to believe.

I'm a fond of history done by historians without bibles, you're fond of your religion's bible. Life goes on

  • I know that this is a late responce seeing how you posted your comment 3 weeks ago, but would you midn telling me what religion you belive in? Christianity?

  • hahahahahahahahahahaah.

    LOLS @ Your post.
