But, yes, there definitely are better duos that could have one. I had a duo at nats (NCFCA, btw) last year that was better than this and we didn't break.

Usually I don't care about NCFCA bashing, but can everyone just chill? The NCFCA has far more restrictive rules about source material and interpretation than other leagues, so that limits what we can do in duos. Peace.

Seriously, this thing wouldn't have gotten out of prelims when I was doing TFA Duet (now Duo) in Texas in the '80s. And, yeah, I saw some NCFL back then too, and the same holds.

i did Forensics for 3 years and went to nationals in duo....and if these guys honestly got first place......then the competition blew ass.

yeah, most likely would float around 4's through prelims at NFL. Not a chance at breaking past octos, and would require a lax draw to break to that.

Wow... I like the idea of speaking for christ, but this was awful! Even the NCFL is far more legit than this!!! These guys would be lucky to break to octo-finals at NFL's if they ran this there!

Wow. Maybe I'm just spoiled with the NFL duos, but this wasn't all that impressive. Seriously. They have some decent ideas, but with Jesus's "UH UH UH!" as the nails are being pounded into his hands.... it was not only speed-read, but was also a tad awkward.

NCFCA rules say that wearing jackets is not required to perform a speech...mostly for convenience.

I do give them an A for effort, however, NCFCA is not even half as competitive as NFL. Compare this to NFL's duos...huge difference

Really, you're not as alone as you think, and always remember the great Commission and know that this can be fulfilled anywhere. Even in the NFL. My friend Sarah and I were the only Christians on our team and now only half (including our coach) come to our church =) Anything can happen with God!!! This is good, guys. Really good! But I went to NFL nationals in 07 and 08 as an extemper and watched the Finals...NFL is a bit more competitive.

@bradman4399: Dude this speech is really bad compared to a lot of speeches. I have no clue what the judges were thinking with this piece, but don't judge NCFCA by this piece. There are a lot better speeches in NCFCA, and I think this one only won because judges bought the "Christian" element, despite the relatively weak acting/story.
