If your using Vista, or not, idk, you might have to log in as Administrator, but usually you just log in with root and account, root as password, and what repack your using :D

I do this.

1st. i make something on WoW v.

2nd.i Download Batch after submiting.

3rd.I go to Heidisql By double clicking the downloaded batch.

4th.I Go to query.Should be loads of writing.

5th.I press F9.then press again just to make sure.

6th.i restart server.

7th i log on and write in the Entry ID.

Okay for the first problem,

cannot connect to mysql

log your server on

open ur database i use heidiSQL

okay to log on user : root Password :ascent

makesure in ur realm.config file the name doesnt say default logon it says root

for the item not working in game try the following steps

1. Make sure you executed the query on your mangos database, not your reamld database

2. Clear you cache by deleting your "WDB" folder in \World of Warcraft\Cache\WDB

3. Restart your server

Hey man, thanks for putting in the time for this great tut. Everything things worked perfectly, almost. I enter my code into the query and save (f9) then when i try to .additem (my id) it says "item (my item id) is not a valid item". I check my item data in ascent and I see its there. PS, Ive restarted my server, nothing. Im not sure how to reload my database though if that makes a difference. I dont see any type option that says "reload database" in HeidSQL.

Ive tried with 2 different ID numbers. Same thing "Item (my ID number) is not a valid item." ughhh haha I know Im just messing up 1 little thing.

OK my last post I promise, after trouble shooting here is what I did. Saved my item. Restarted server, in Hiedisql I hit the "refresh" button. Waited 10 mins. Then logged in and finally it appeared to be a valid item.. Thanks man for this tut!!!!!!

ok... there are 2 rows in the code you copy from the site it gos like this when you paste it in sql..

1. (this names the collums as in Item # Stat collum)

2. (this havs the values, the actual # that gos in the collums as in 112375 (item #). got it?

basicly you have more columns then you do Values or the othr way around.

my advise: make shure your useing the right server code, this tut is for ascent mainly, if its mangos look at the top of the box that contains the codes and click mangos tab

i dont know what "key 1" means but my guss is that this is the 1st collum of your item database (mostlikly your item id).

if it is your item id then 29156 is the .additem #... and is this is true then that means you alredy have an item with that #
