I doubt that you do. Your one of those people who rely way too much online banking. Use a check book. Its a better way to track expenses.

I can assure you that if you dont spend more than you have in your account u will not be charged a fee.

I know exactly how the system works and why people overdraft, because I speak to hundreds of them a day.  Do not rely on online banking because not all the merchants (ex: McDonalds; restaurants in general, gas stations etc) they dont send the transactions through the account right away so it's not showing up until they process them and it takes 3-5 business days.

THE BANK HAS NO CONTROL OF THE TRANSACTION -the merchant does. Thats why you (customer) should write down transitions and check them off when paid.(not when they are pending)

I am not trying to be ignorant or smart because I work there. I just want you guys to understand that its not the bank. The bank is only paying ur transactions, but has no control what u are spending and when you are spending. When you give a company/merchant permission to take out money from account (either verbal or by swiping the card) it is up to them from then on when they want to take it out.

Thats why usually u get charged because they take their time and when they decide to take it out, u probably already forgot about it or u assumed that it was taken out the day u gave them that permission.
