@Davaia - I think you'll find it wasn't on charter. Cunard bought Royal Viking Sun in an effort to revitalise the brand. That was before Cunard's owners sold it too - to Carnival.
Was aboard the Royal viking Star as she was know in the 70's and 80's. in about 83, amazing ship. Two story movie theather and amazing lounge in front. Great staff went to panama canal and Olso as well. ship wasnt streched at this point. Huge dinning room for older passerengers, single tables rooms etc. Only about 550 people as compared to todays ships very intimate..Easy going.saved all the dinner menus pic etc was only about 9yrs.old

I have seen Royal Viking Sun (or it is Prinsendam now) and Black Watch. Amazing Cruise ships :) And nice video ;)
