@magicmartin18 oh give me a fucking break. even his father said that he deserved it. this kid called his dad before he invaded the pitch told him that he was going to have a run. his dad told him don't do it, it's a bad idea.
@magicmartin18 then do you suppose you catch a fast fucker running around the pitch? you break the law, you get punished. even "don't taser me bro" won't help you.
You catch him by chasing after him. I have never ever seen a pitch invader here in the UK evade the stewards (who are not equipped with tasers because there's no need to be). They are caught every single time without fail.
excessive force? This was not excessive force, lol. This was well within the continuum of force. Person actively resisted arrest/detainment, he got what was coming to him.
Knock it off with the hand holding of people. You make a choice, there are repercussions to it. Get your "happy happy joy joy" crap out of here.
Oh wait... If Americans can do this to their own citizens...
What do they do to their apples and oranges?!?!?!
They make Applesauce and Orange Marmelade....
(Sensationalism over a matter that is CLEARLY the fault of the person that was breaking the rules... I call that lame. I call you lame if you try to side with the kid.)
Actually, I'm an American... My comment was more sarcastic than anything. But the bit about the kid breaking the rules... Was not sarcastic. He broke the rules.
@gentle1969 sorry for the misunderstanding lol. By the way, i thought the kid got what he deserved. i laughed when i saw this on sports center the next morning.
So Zuze what do you think the guard should have done? Maybe next time they should use their guns. Dumb person on the field...bet his folks are proud of him.
ya and all of those deaths by the way were a direct result with drug use or they had a health problem... I can see it now zuze269 a thief is robing your house and then the cops pull up and they decide not to use their gun so they use their tasers and then because they are nice cops they ask if he is a drugie or has health problems... then if he does they are like, "well since you have these issues you go ahead and keep doing your thing"...
The 17 yr old kid was a tard. They told him to stop, he didnt. Time to take it up a notch. Now he's sh*tting sparks. This is life, its full of repurcussions. If you dont do what your told, like stopping when told to by a cop or security, dont cry about it when they have to force you to stop. Stop the PC crud. Hugs and time outs dont fix everything.
Hey zuze why don't you ask the Royals 1'st base coach about his lack of security when a drunk father and son beat the crap out of him... Hell ya he should have been tazed you don't know if he has a weapon or his intention... to the ballin whatever the people who died had either a drug problem or they had a health condition...
@BALLIN02130 Actually your number is off.. its 351deaths in 10 years. But then we've had 33,000 deaths in traffic accidents in the last year. So what is more dangerous. Or do you thing he should have just used his gun?
No. This is just common sense. If police set a precedent of electrocuting the fuck out of somebody for silly bullshit, then it's only a matter of time before they beat the fuck out of you for doing almost nothing at all. And have crowds of clowns like you cheering them on... til they do it to you.
@TimothyDonaghue Get your fucking head straight... there is a very damn big difference in your example. Tasering people is one of the least dangerous ways for them to have stopped the kid. And it doesn't leave marks like the "beat the fuck" out of someone example you gave.
@TimothyDonaghue The cops will already beat the daylights out of you if they think they need to. People know they're not supposed to go on the field. Plus the guy got up and walked off. So do us a favor and be quiet.
I disagree with your opening statement, zuze. This was not a political event like a war. You can hardly compare killing someone with subduing an unruly fan. Lawbreakers in a society are "their own"? That was a fairly safe way of ending a lawbreaker's act. Aside from doing an embarrassing faceplant on television, no real harm became the fan.
Actually that's a pretty justifiable use of a taser. The alternative is security chasing this dumb ass down for about 15 minutes, spend another 10 minutes wrestling and fighting with him while risking injury to both dumb ass and themselves.
This is hardly excessive force. Excessive force would be if they continued to taser him while he was on the ground and put a knee in the back of his neck. As you can see he was back on his feet, and escorted away within a few seconds.
I love the looser Europeans who just have a crap opinion about everything we do in the USA. Europe these days is just all about hating the USA. that's what Europeans do. Gotta love those Germans.... Killed a few million 70 years ago. But were a bad country because a kid gets a shock. Thanks for the laugh euro trash!
@deblaz How about the taliban....they executed people at the half time shows at soccer ...oppps sorry "football" games in afghanistan. Now THATS excessive force. lol
I completely "get" how a taser incident relates to US foreign policy. Once again, Thanks Europe for showing the US how flawed we are. Please, let us know whenever we can help you protect yourselves from foreign threats.

Yanks always have to overdo it. Why you gotta taser someone for running on the field? Absolutely unnecessary force.

Would you rather he was hit with a club? Obviously the taser didn't harm him.
He got right up and walked on his own power. It's not like he was electrocuted.
Plus, in the USA, all cops who use tasers are tased themselves so they know
what it feels like. So quit crying.
