Yes... Pia was amazing, but the reason she was voted off was because she wasn't anything to watch... We all loved hearing her, but after River Deep Mountain High, it was boring. That song is so Upbeat and fun whenever Tina turner performed it because she was always moving around and dancing along making it energetic and fun, Pia just walked around the stage in slow motion. She was dull and no one wanted to watch her anymore.

Idol just assumes that people are smart enough to vote for the best SINGERS and not cast votes for some other reason. Idol needs to 'fix' the problem, people like this can't be voted off so soon in the competition. The general public has proven time and time again that they're bad judges of talent, they continually 'get it wrong' and them getting it wrong hurts the quality of the show. There has to be a better way.

I think Pia is an awesome singer and can sing the heck out of any song but she didnt win because ppl didnt vote for her because she didnt have that IT factor. Scotty won b/c ppl who liked him took time to vote for 1 and he had a huge range of age group from the young to the old because he is uniques and has a complete package that he demonstrates when he sings. I think the only thing that is going to make American Idol halfway fair is if the judges have a vote that counts somewhat regradless of America's vote. This seems to happen every season- someone gets thrown out way before their time. 80% of the remaining contestants cant sing even close to her range and beauty!
i wasnt that devasted when she was voted off, because one, more talented people got sent home early on previous seasons and no one was upset about it, and two, i knew she'd still end up getting signed.
i just feel bad for the guy who got picked over her, because everyone was booing, like wow, how can you feel good about staying when everyone is pissed you stayed haha

At least Stefano had a presence. I felt so bad when the audience booed. BTW I wasn't rooting for either.

@prmike22 it's not just music industry, it's this generation in general they just want somebody that looks good and they think is hot or cute, they don't look at the musical aspect of it all. @jesnieves1 What it does is SOLIDIFY the ability of a singer/performer to take a difficult situation and still be able to perform. In essence, her ability to continue at this point shows a great deal of skill and composure that she should be commended for. Singers are always confronted by distractions and have to perform through them.
@jesnieves1 To have a performance that will release an inner feeling which can later make you feel happy.. it is best understood once you have experienced it.. :)

Everybody needs to shut up about Scotty and Stefano not being good enough or Haley laughing during Pia's elimination or the fact that Casey was saved and he "didn't deserve to be". Every single person on the show had amazing talent. But Pia was my favorite and i agree, i am upset that she got voted off but look at where she is now! She's probably more famous than any of the contestants AND she has a record deal!! So just stop arguing because it's not going to change anythingg!! They all rock <3

Pia was my favorite one during this season. But all the hormone obsessed girls had to go and vote for Scotty, who was good but definitely not the best. Pia or Lauren should've won, but that's just my opinion.

@jesnieves1 What it does is SOLIDIFY the ability of a singer/performer to take a difficult situation and still be able to perform. In essence, her ability to continue at this point shows a great deal of skill and composure that she should be commended for. Singers are always confronted by distractions and have to perform through them.
