i just found these guys a few weeks ago and i cant stop listening to them. i love this type of music..88, rise against, break the silence, these guys fit right in that category. its too bad rise against is the only one still together cause their music has changed a lot since the unraveling and really is more main stream sounding now
hey guys, went to the reunion show march 26 at reggies in chicago and damn does much the same still rock! for the last song, the stage was crowded with basically the whole audience and it was nuts. much the same, dont look down whatever it is THEY ROCK. (glad to see this vid has 40,000 views)
Man you are all so right. This band meant so much to me when I moved from California my senior year to the mid-west. They were a band that I had never listened to and was blown away at the show. One of the few bands my friends and I could agree on. They were always awesome dudes, and I miss bum rushing the stage with 20 or so friends in Evansville, Indiana. Best of luck to all their new projects. Wish more bands would kick ass like them (see the flatliners and smoke or fire for goodness
Much The Same was an amazing band. I would have really liked to see where they'd be now if they'd have stuck around. Quitters Never Win still gets played regularly in my car. :D
A great new melodic punk band is Mighty Midgets. They are like Strike Anywhere mixed with nofx and millencolin. I just thought I'd share since you don't hear many bands like this these days.
@Conanok91 i love much the same but calling them the greatest punk rock band is a little far, their not true punk and their not even the best band to come out chicago lately
I agree. I've seen them three times live and they are incredible. The synergy between Danno and Gunner on guitar is really impressive. Sure is a shame they broke :(
I totally agree, it sux mate:P we just found out about them and they quit. They're at least as good as NUFAN, if not better, except for Hard Rock Bottom, which is epic. Luckily we found out about their mates The Swellers in which MTS's music lives on, stylewise. MTS RIP:(
It is a shame that they are no longer around, they beat the shit out of 95% of the music that is currently being force fed on the radio and iTunes. If you want a progression of classical harmonic Punk music, these guys really have a lot of depth and complexity.
yeah dude, I saw em back in January of '07 at a venue in OC, and I was blown away. I was sure they were going to get huge, because they were the first punk I saw that a sound that equally matched there quality on there albums
I am surprised at how many people have watched my video. I filmed this at a local venue only 15-20 people, I was shocked because I thought that they actually had a big following, because they were so good. I had loved them for some time and not many peeps at the show. Subsequently I got a job at MTV2 because of Much the Same allowed me to shoot this video.

the gorgoroth video was a lot of the same, but as soon as I searched for 'much of the same', and I HEARD THIS CRAP, AND IT MADE ME REALIZE THAT THIS SOUNDS VERY MUCH OF THE SAME....shit

My bad. I had a few songs on my timeline, when editing, and I must have looked at the wrong song when making the titles. I will fix this, thanks for the info, I would have never noticed this major flaw.
