for this concert i got there pretty early, but the thing is that all you have to do is run for your spot when the doors open up for the floor.. so you can show up as "late" as an hour and a half before the show and still get really good spots..
what they do, is they block off the whole area with gates set up about 30-40 feet away from the actual doors that lead onto the floor... as soon as all the doors are open, RUN! screw the fact that security night stop you and tell you to turn around... you will be front and centerr!!! :)
i did that last weekend at the BLG concert... and i got front and center...
p.s. fight for your spot... don't let people push you out of the way, esp during the moshing...
