  • this song is so relaxing <3 i could fall asleep with it...

  • i would love to learn this song if anybody knows the lyrics please let me know.

  • Music like this deserves to be on vinyl records. Just my thoughts...

  • motoko is hot. this should be top comment.

  • the lyrics here are the the ones seen in the CD jacket, but they are not the ones sang in the song. The real lyrics are not published.

it appears to be a mixed language style similar to Esperantu, but seems to be a gibberish made up language.

  • i don't really care wat language its in its still kick ass

  • Within the whole anime, the whole universe...there is something very human here....

  • I have no Idea were this came from but sure is amazing

  • thank you togusa for putting this up :)

  • My favourite song in the entire series :<

  • There's something very profound about this song, like it's expressing feelings from a long long time ago. It's beautiful!

  • good

  • *___* What's the language of this song?

  • я не Англичянин но кто знает песню you take your litle hands

  • i still need Solid State Society...

  • This Song + A Good Book + Calm Spring Breeze = Ultimate Relaxation.

  • @FockfordRosgate this song + a good book + warm valley + my dog = The BEST Place 2 Be

  • @dirtybone21 I like that :)

  • Google thinks this is in Esperanto. I don't think so though.

  • @raidomees2 It's not esperanto. It's "Gablish". From what I know it's based on latin but made up.

  • @O1d8oy explain made up i hav heard people say tht alot

  • @O1d8oy It is a language that was invented by Yoko Kanno.

  • Google thinks this is in Esperanto.

  • This redefines the word favorite

  • does it really matter wht language its in we all like the song whether its english japanese or martian

  • "Even if the morrow is barren of promises- nothing shall forestall my return..."

    Loveles, Act III

  • Is this latin she's singing? :D

  • When Yoko sings, it really is pretty special. She always comes up with some crazy (in a good way) lyrics.

  • This is no japanese at all. Romaji is being used for writing japanese in western symbols and it's often not accurate.

Yoko Kanno often uses Russian and fantasy languages by the way (and there is the romor that the name gabriela robin is just a synonym for yoko kanno when she is also singing not just composing songs)

  • @Bluesummers1296 Woh language....And yes...she does sing or at least allegedly does. In the 2009 concert with the Seatbelts, she turned around and sang to the crowd. She sang Moon. Either she's good at impersonations or she's really Gabriela Robin and is using her as an alias.

  • heya! Thanks for the song and lyrics! Well done!

  • Great! Another song with Gabriela Robin!! But my favourite is Grace Omega where she could make me cry every day with it!

  • Man, this Song gets me Down.

  • Who gives a Fart what lang it is. Its Damn good music, it could be the lang of beautiful demons and i'd still love it. Jeez stop fighting and enjoy it or dont listen at all. Nuff said

  • ummmmm. this is Russian..And its SEXAY!

  • This song...just GREAT!

  • I would love to get a guitar tab for this song.

  • Oh man. This tune is soooo good. Agree with you.

  • besides, this song is beautiful regardless of the language.

  • most people wont beleve it....but its russian and latin@musikholicgirl

  • Just so you people really stop the whole "It gibberish" It's called Romanji in Japanese... I know this how? Cause you can actually put it through a translator. If it was Gibberish you would not be able to translate it.

  • That still doesn't main that's the language sang in for the song. Romanji isn't really a language and I know it's not Japanese.

"Gibberish" can be translated. The writer could make it up and translate it in a way he/she wishes it to be.

  • The translator though was processed by rosetta stone. Also if you go to Yoko Kanno's and Orgia's main page they tell you the languages that she uses.

  • Sorry that's just what it said on her Sights that's all I'm guessing then that the lyrics are Russian and Romanian. Since they're put in both versions of spelling.

  • True....Final Fantasy 10 made up its own language, which is basically gibberish >.>

  • @Togusa Rōmaji is just latin letters for japanese words. It is not a language, but a style of writing. While i do not know if the text is japanese, Rōmaji IS japanese. Source: wikipedia/Romaji

  • Romaji, not romanji.

  • Japanese Godfather says Romanji...

  • @12northstar13, Romaji is simply Japanese written in American letters. Nothing more.

  • @PanicAtTheOscars We were off that topic a lonnnnggg time ago and went to debating spelling. Japanese Phonetical spelling of the word that is. It could be the older generation knows it with an n.

  • i love this song its so sweet and relaxingly calmming <3

  • 100!!!

  • love the translation XD lol

  • That will be awesome when someone can tell me where I can find the guitar tabs.

To play such an emotional song would be wonderful.

  • Also, interestingly, this song actually has a short set of lyrics in the CD insert. It's not the actual ones, it's a few lines of Japanese (probably a translation), but I can translate it into English for you if you want.

  • Sure. Give it a shot.

  • the languade is: esperanto. the internacional planned language from 1887.

At least appears to be so.

  • Really? How do you know?

  • Search the gramatical structure and appears to be so... the union of aspects of lots of other languages and stuff.. as i said: "appears to be so"

  • It's Romanji Or Romanian to us common fol.

  • Romanji is romanized kanji. It's transliteration, not a direct language switch :s

  • lol.

It's not Romanian, nor is it called Romanji - it's Romaji.

Romaji is Japanese written with normal characters, like the letters I'm typing now. Simpler put, written without their language's specific symbols - kanji, hiragana, katakana.

I don't know in what language this song is sung; it's either Gibberish or Esperanto or *insert correct answer*. But of one thing I'm sure: It's not Romanian. I should know, I'm Romanian. ^^

  • I am given to understand that there are three types of written Japanese language. Poetic (used here), technical (for written instructions) and the normal everyday used language. Is this correct?

  • @Togusa it actually sounds liek esperanto, I dont speak it myself but i hear it quite often. if i remember correctly, yoko speaks esperanto too and used it in some of her osngs before

  • @KOGR11 Yoko Kanno is known for making up her own languages too. She blends a lot of languages together too. I wouldn't be surprised if someone asked what this was and she replied back with "Latin mixed with Russian and a little French" (Just an example.) Though she never tells her secrets.

  • I think it Gablish. It's a made up language as a filler.

  • @spric01 What?

  • @spric01 What??? "International planned language from 1887" ????

  • @TopAce777 you mean esperanto? just google it :) Yoko actually made quite a few songs in that "language"

  • frickin yes man. i've been searching the far reaches of the net for this mp3. i love it when it plays at the end of episode 11 and 13 in 2nd gig

  • Oooowah!!! SO CUTE! *Butt Wiggles*

  • Kanno is simply a Genius, very impressive.

First time i hear this , the song still playing but

I couldnt wait for the song to end to comment.

    GREAT

  • Whenever i listen one of Yoko Kanno's masterpieces i never want it to end.

  • This song is played when Pazu kills his ex-lover in episode 13 of 2nd gig as well.

  • Yeh man, thats a deep episode. when the girlfriend (before attacking him) talks about having Pazu's ghost in him, is that because the had sex twice. Like he really loved her, and gave him self to her more so than most over women he does it with ? :S

  • what kind of laguage is this? I heard some spanish in the lyrics and japanese and english mixed, lol

  • I'm not really sure, but I've just posted the lyrics to this song and a translation that I found from a website. I've tried putting the lyrics through google translator and it says it's Esperanto. Although I wouldn't fully trust that translator.

  • The lyrics aren't Esperanto - it's probably telling you that because someone transliterated the lyrics phonetically, and Esperanto sticks a lot closer to phonetic spelling than natural languages. The lyrics are complete gibberish - a good rule of thumb is that if it's Gabriela Robin singing, and you can't tell instantly what the lyrics are, then it's not a real language.

Incidentally, I also transliterated and learned to sing this piece - even though it's nonsense, it's still so beautiful! :)

  • its basically gibberish...much like cirque du soleil does its a made up language it keeps the mystery inside of the music but yeah you will hear actual words from manhy differently languages though

  • @Napheriity: Yeah I totally agree! It made me think or feel these emotions, that werent mine, like.........past memories...

  • wow very emotional. its up there with sigur ross

  • love Sigur Ros! :D (and Yoko Kanno!!)

  • Words hav no description to how this song makes me feel but one.... bittersweet

  • This song made me cry. I have no idea why. It just seemed to make me remember something in a past life.

  • Such a reaction must be a sign of good music!

  • just rigth It happens to my me equally

  • @Napheriity It is the song of Faerie, the Realm That Can Not Be.

  • This song is so beautiful weaving somewhere between sorrow and serenity.

  • All I know is that the vocals are by Gabriela Robin.

  • its definnatly not russian she is an italian singer as researched but i think she mixes in gibberish

  • yes you are right sorry my mistake XD

  • ahh no problem o well i wont talk any more here or else togusa might get pissed off

  • @ hoganrulez:

As someone who likes to create his own languages, I find your comment ignorant. Something is not "jibberish" simply because it's not commonly spoken. If the person who created it put real thought and care into making a language, it is an "actual" language like any other. Language is an artform, a mode of expression, and should be appreciated as much as any other.

  • sorry i worded my sentence wrong but i pretty sure she even uses a mix jibberish on her homepage when discribing what languege she sang in. If you created a languege then thats obviously not jibberish. but i think she called the way she sang in moon speak or something

  • @ hoganrulez: Oh, like the words don't actually have meanings? Hm, yeah, that would be gibberish then. I kind of assumed it was a real language that she or someone else created. Sorry for jumping down your throat.

  • sorry typo she uses gibberish

  • Technically speaking, it can be said that Gabriella Robin isn't a real person. It is ***RUMURED*** that She is actually Yoko Kanno because she only appeared after Yoko worked with someone who WAS using an alias for her work. So it's kind of hard to say She's deffinatly Italian for sure.

PLUS Origa always sings in Robin's place in concerts. (or the other two whose names i have forgotten XD LMAO)

Yoko Makes up her own languages for a lot of her music. Look at Moon and Torukia lol

  • I like this song alot! Great vocals from Gabriela as always.

  • best... song... EVER

  • yes!! This was on Solid State Society???? I only heard it on episode 11 of 2nd gig!!! When Major is done hearing the story. Not the one during! Anyway it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • i'm not sure, i haven't seen SSS yet. I think they might have just put some of the songs from the series on the SSS soundtrack to balance it out.

  • cool! Go on MySpace Videos and type in Ghost in the Shell Solid State Society!!! Thats how i wathed it!!!!!!! It shows the WHOLE movie!!! You dont have to have a myspace to watch vids!! Go ahead and watch iT!!! Once again the WHOLE episode!!!

  • awesome, thanks. i might just do that. I was kinda waiting until i had it on dvd or something to watch it in high quality the first time, but i might just break down and watch it on the internet =P

  • oh, i saw SSS recently =D

amazing movie. i don't know how they manage to keep up the momentum so to say that they do with all the GITS story lines, but they find a way. I hope they make more (another series or another movie) someday.

  • man this is a good song! love yoko! 'yoko forever' lol

  • Love this song <3

  • 何かに似てるなーって思って聴いてたんだけど、ブルガリア民謡かぁ。

    この人って、ホンットどんな曲でも作れるんだな

  • what is this moon speak I see here??? -_o

  • Just Japanese!

I like this song, listens like the Bulgarian musics.

  • According to the Gabriela Robin fansite, it is indeed "moon speak." The lyrics in the CD booklet are in Japanese, but don't match the song.

  • really awsome...whole ost is gr8

  • Well I know one of the scenes off the bat. It was episode 11 in 2nd GIG near the end with the ball bouncing down the stairs and a little bit after that I think.
