Saw United lift the Premier League trophy in 2009 and it was an experience, but a Champions League is unbeatable! Pity about the score line in the 2011 final.
This annoys me. I support Glasgow Rangers, who are the most successful football team in history, yeah, seriously! But what annoys me is that, my team which i've supported since I was little, will never get to experience a Champions League final, ever. It is always going to be the same merry-go-round of teams, Man Utd, Chelsea, Barca, Madrid, Milan, Inter, Bayern: only the richest clubs will achieve any glory in Europe.
Even at that, I still LOVE watching Barcelona destroy every team
@scofer1873 Well, I slightly agree with your point. However, its not necessarily true that "only the richest teams" can make it to the final. For example, even though Barcelona is a very rich team, they won that final with 8 players who were raised in "la masia" and therefore turned out to be completely free: Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Pique, Puyol, Valdes, Busquets, and Pedro. I think it has to do with how good of a training staff you have is and the dedication of your players.
@GalacticSauce Yes, I understand. Barcelona are totally unique, in the way that they spend very little, compared to other European clubs. But what I meant is that, there will never be a team like Rangers or Celtic or Tottenham in the final. The teams are drawn in such a way that the "bigger" clubs will face the lesser sides. So Rangers will always face extremely difficult sides in the group stages, which makes is incredibly hard to progress to the knockouts
@scofer1873 yea, thats also true. But hey, look at Oporto back when Mourinho won the champions league. Its definately harder for "smaller" teams to succeed in the champions league.. but anything is possible!
My team, Rangers, got the final of the Europa League 3 years ago, unfortunatly we lost. Then in 2006, we got to the knockouts of the Champions League, only to be put out on away goals by Villareal: so yeah, nothing is impossible.
By the way, Barcelona are an incredible football team, you don't realise just how lucky you are to support a team that plays football the way they do
@EasyDownloadHelp Wrong. They don't "earn it" - they're given it. Team like Wigan and Blackpool, get paid more money from being in the English league, than Rangers do for winning countless trophies.
@scofer1873 Mate, the most successful football team in history in Al Ahly of Egypt. They even got a commemorative medal of honour for this from FIFA. Beat that!
nice video, on the tickets Barca and Man Utd had 25,000 each, 11.000 went on public sale, and the other 28.000 or so went to the Eufa family,(what ever that is) but what amazed me was, this final was in England and Man Utd are such a big club, yet inside wembley it was 75% Barca and 25% Man Utd ,
@MrTinlizzy yea I couldnt believe it either. The game started at 7:45 and by 6:45 the Barça sector of wembley was almost full and the manchester sector was almost empty O.o
saw this on tv but the atmopshrer in the stadium must have been so much better.....well done on your team barca great win from them....truly invincible
Dang how is it that u become a member of barca? Like the email thing or something else. I live in states idk if I can though.... I heard ppl where paying up to $5000 for tickets ... U lucky tho for tho lol
@blancito91 I'm a member of Barcelona, so it cost me 260 euros (£220). Buts thats nothing considering the fact that I got offers from people trying to buy my ticket at 1,500 euros loooool
@Sonny0612 because there are 170,000 Barcelona members, only 16,000 were able to get tickets to the Wembley final (due to UEFA stadium regulations), therefore I got really lucky that I got my ticket, if I would have sold my ticket there would have been no way that I would have been able to get another ticket, and besides.. theres some things that money just can't buy :D
thats a once in a lifetime experience mate!! I LOL'ed at the random bald guy with the missing teeth that came out of nowhere during your TV moment hahaha
