It is not your fault ppl do not understand simple things. but it just goes to show that when you are sitting infront of a computer or a television for an hour and a half you miss things in life you could be doing like enjoying nature or company of friends etc... Finally, the attack to "school system" was terribly argumented. I watched it for almost 1 hr and was lost. After C2C AM interview i thought it was something else and was really not able to get the point. I scrolled to the end, probably missed the point. I understand the idea of atmosphere, but it "read" like a student's assignment, when the student does not understand that we are not in his or her head. You need to keep us to the beat - otherwise we miss it. Thank you though
very good effort, i would stick it on the shelf and start another one from scratch, learning from this one. I would also practice with ten min shorts to hone skills like continuity, plot line clarity, editing, soundmixing etc etc. WELL DONE, KEEP GOING.
If I may make a few suggestion's and I am willing to admit I know nothing but my Opinion, and experience's in Life "Which I've often thought of writing down, I think my life has been pretty Interesting, I know without a doubt I've experience things few have..lol " But my first suggestion would be to match the Music to the Element of the movie a bit better, you did pretty good, but with no Verbal lines, it makes it twice as important to get the music to match up.
@2xkiller Second see if you can Speed things up a bit, while also seeing if you can find Emblems, Signs etc. to get your meaning across, In history you can see how Important they are. Look at the Swastika, What does it mean? I bet you would be hard pressed to find some one who DIDNT know.. , they can be very helpful, to get your message through a bit clearer, while also possibly keeping peoples attention.
and Finally and this is just me, pick something the Masses are thinking about, Like for instance the Occupy Protest, or The cost of Wars. If you wanna stay away from political stuff, you could aim for something more human related. Ohhh and the Name... As I said before I thought it was something else, something about Waking Up, made me think it was a video about how the Masses are like sleeping children while the wolves are at the door.. Any way.. Also, I would have to say I agree on all points with your suggestions, as does the person I filmed this movie with. In fact, we are actually working on trimming it down, making the music ourselves, and streamlining the entire thing from a viewers standpoint. Hindsight can lead to a lot of realizations and all. And the message does come across a bit muddled in the final product.

I mistook this for another new movie that just released a few days ago with the same name. It's a documentary and it even has a similar story to this.

@mama3183 Good question. It is rather out there. It's about someone who has "fallen asleep" in life, going through the motions and such, being afraid of the dark essentially, and figuring out what it is to break those connections to the worser things in life, and to remember the beautiful moments they had. Face their fears they have about really living and wake up, go out and explore the world. Or something like that. I am not gonna lie, it's really not well put together. :)
