May be Thai Airforce lost some F-5 but I am pretty sure not 5 of them.

The F5 that Thai airforces used to bomb Laos during border dispute coudn't do nothing to the Lao army. Instead 5 of the F5 were shot down and lost about 500 soldiers. The laos side lost about 50 soldiers. If you compare this dispute, Thai soldiers armed with modern weapons and the airpower but Thailand still lost the war to Laos. If Loas got the same technology, Thailand will be defeated in just a week.
