@dmguitarist99 I also had a problem with the nonstop alternate picking. Since my legato is much stronger I used it in place on a few parts of the song. The sweeps are easy, it's just going from sweep picking to alternate that quicky can be a challenge.

When I first was sent the tab from this guy, I learnt the first part pretty quickly, it's not as hard as it looks, the thing is....your pinky burns the fuck out during the second run of the riff, cuz of the repetition, not a bad thing the repitition, that's what makes the riff brutal as fuck, I don't know about anyone else but my pinky feels the burn after playing this song.

Is it me or is Origin just about the hardest band to physically cover for an entire song....or maybe I just need to work on my right hand.....switching from the fast rythm shit to the sweeps is really difficult for me. I think I use different picking technique for each style (rythm, solo, sweeps etc). Oh and the bands you cover makes me feel like you've got the same exact CD collection as myself.......check out Chainsaw Dissection...you might dig it...not technical but ultra brutal.

and also I don`t think this song is so hard, I`m playing about 8 years and not practicing daily but able to play it (but arpeggios are a bit disgusting haha), but really these guys are fast as the fastest Flash Gordon, guitarist, bassman (playing with fingers!) and drummer (just left the kitchen hammering meat for Vienna schitzels) are mdfcking insane, what a drug they use to abuse to play as fast? btw. For the sweeps yes it's damn hard to figure out. I was just concentrating on the first 1-2 notes (the low ones) and the last (high). All in between is more made by a guess. Thanks.

You know what's so awesome about your vids? In at least 75% of the guitar vids, the music is turned up just loud enough to mask any mistakes made by the guitar player. Maybe the player makes mistakes, maybe he/she doesn't, but you can't even fucking tell most of the time because of the loud music. In your vids, you can at least hear your playing loud and clear.

Then again, you have nothing to be afraid of because you don't make mistakes anyway :P.

And another thing, How long have you been paying cause i been playing for almost 2 years and i can play the song just fine except the fast sweeping part. I'm trying to play it but i cant get my hands to play it cleanly, When i play it that damn fast its messy. Any advice?

Thanks. Even my sweeping sounds a bid messy and i had problems to mute the other strings. It's damn fast (something around 250 BPM) The only advice is to take a metronom. Start slowly a get faster that's all. I took me 1-2 weeks to learn that shit at this speed. I've been playing for 19/20 years i don't know it exactly.
