  • Nice peace of work, man!!

You really made my day, and I was able to fix my Nokia C6 as easy as it seems. I encorage you to keep going with this quality stuff.

    Thanks from Spain ;)

  • @EricMjolnir Thank you :-), I hope to produce many more in the future, I'm currently making one for the Blackberry Curve 8520

  • I have a problem with the touchscreen which is not responding and not working the only way i can navigate through my c6 is by keypad will this procedure solve the issue? please respond this as fast as you can because i can't stand it this way :)

  • @killynot If its not impact damage its probably the flex cable. If its impact damage then a new digitizer should fix your problem...

  • after repairing n changing the screen, does all the memory in the phone still there or they r gone?

  • @phezc All your contacts, photo's and videos should be safe. But it is a very good idea to make a full backup using 'Nokia Suite' before you take it apart, just in case of any problems. Over half a million people around the world have used my videos and none of the comments have ever mentioned losing the memory contents.

Don't use a metal table/surface always use a non-conducting surface like a wooden or plastic table

  • nice video and very carefull job! :)

  • merci super tuto, simple mais complet.

très facile à démonter grâce à vous.

  • BIG thx !

  • Nice vid man.. i got an issue with my c6. All the keys light up and i can touch my screen. However the screen is black( does not light up). It used to come on randomly when i'd slide the phone open or close it. Would you know what the problem may be? And would this vid be the solution?

  • @khaosifyxiii You need to replace the Flex Ribbon Cable, buy a new one and follow my flex replacement video..

  • thx a lot, I would really loved to to it, but I cannot remove the last three t5 screws. they dont have any profile anymore. cant get them out. fuck!

  • @flohkoehler You need to drill the heads off and get hold of some new screws. If your replacing the digitizer it won't matter if the rest of the screw is left in place

  • thank you so much. :*

  • Great vid! Fixed my broken charging port with the help of the vid! Thank you so much!

  • what's the price for Digitizer

  • @786mehedi How much depends on where you live, try searching on Google for

'nokia c6-00 digitizer' then click on the shopping link. You should find plenty..

  • Absolutely fantastic, it was so useful and easy to follow. Keep up the good work!

  • thanks for this video ive just orderd an new lcd screen and i will follow your video and should get the job done cheers.

  • The ribbon cable that I can replace? :) Thanks for the reply!

  • Friend I change my digitizer and is not well calibrated, try through the phone settings option and I can not do it because the points are not marked in the right place, help me please ..

  • @carlosnokiaC6 Sounds like you might have a faulty digitizer, you'll need to try another one...

  • I buy two scanners and both respond incorrectly friend, really do not think the two are going to be bad.

  • @carlosnokiaC6 I've just uploaded a video on how to calibrate the touch screen, please let me know if this helps watch?v=EyHlIcQRogU

  • @FarkasMateHUN I've now uploaded a guide on changing the ribbon cable and put it as a video response below, let us know how you get on...

  • I have replaced the digitizer for my nokia n97 and when I click the screen in a certain place, it clicks somewhere else. Is this a problem or is there a way to calibrate it correctly?

  • @aka7minimouse Go to menu>settings>phone>touch input, and scroll to Touch Screen Calibration, that should fix your problem :-)

  • Amazing video !!! Thank you !!!

  • Thank you very much.. I have replaced my touch screen digitizer by following your video. It works fine. I have never opened even a simplest mobile in my life. Now I have disassembled and replaced a faulty touch screen on Nokia C6.!!. All credits goes to you. I have saved money and above all, I have peace of mind bec. my instrument is intact and nobody else handled it.. Again, a million thanks to you.

  • @karnna I'm glad it worked out well for you :-) thanks for taking the time to comment..

  • hi, change the flex for my c6 how?. thanks

  • @juanco983 Sorry I no longer have the phone to look at

  • how much does an lCD for nokia c6 cost?

  • @pwner48 Search on 'Google Shopping' for 'nokia c6 lcd' and you'll find lots of on-line sellers

  • @karnna plz tell me from where did you brought the touchscreen. I need complete housing and touchscreen for my C6. Thank

  • hi,

My C6-00 touch screen does not work properly. it hangs and behave erratically. Some times it does not respond. I should replace the items as shown in your video ?

How can I assure I get genuine repair kit ? I am from India. Please advice. Thanks.

  • @karnna There's no easy way to tell if its genuine or not. The price is a good guide as most original parts are about double the price of compatible parts. I think changing the touch screen should fix your problems, let me know how you get on...

  • @LE55ONS Wow..! what a fast reply.. thanks a lot.. One question... I have to change only touchscreen am I right ? No need to change LCD ...right ? thanks in advance..:-)

  • @karnna Just the touchscreen, the LCD should be fine..

  • @LE55ONS Hi! Very great video! Anyway, have a problem with my own C6 and I thought you could help me. The problem is my screen won't turn on even if my handset is on. Well before it came to that, my screen stopped working on landscape mode(aka when i pull out the keyboard) first but works just fine when it is closed. Then it got worse where I had to angle the screen so it wouldn't completely hide the keyboard for it to work. But now, a day later neither works! What could be the problem? Thanks!!

  • @8numb3rs Sounds like you need a new 'Flex Cable - Ribbon' between the screen and the main body, have a google for 'Nokia C6 Flex Cable - Ribbon' and you'll see they are easily available on-line. Sorry I can't make a video on changing it as I don't have the phone anymore...

  • Thankx 4 showing me, cause my C6 screen is messing up like a laptop screen and now jus showing either just white or black

  • Hi, your videos are absolutely wonderfull, unfortunately you haven´t my movil video. Can you put the explication video by nokia c6-01? Thanks

  • @Irhene100 I managed to get hold of a C6-01 and have set it as a video response.

Let us know how you get on...

  • thank you very much!

  • to be more precise when you said last 1 @ 9:54 thats the one which has completly rounded of it will not turn both ways and i have tried nearly ever screwdriver head!

  • Hi your video is very helpfull indeed keep up the good work fella! Just a quick question I have got upto the stage where I need to take out the last 3 tiny screws at (5;00) I managed to take top and middle one of know problem but managed to round off the last bottom one now i am screwed as it will not come out i have tried everything is there anything I can do to remove it out i dont want to damage the mobile etc. I need urgent help

  • @Mureed4lyf I would use a small drill to take the head off the damaged screw, the thread will stay in the touch screen which won't matter if your changing it. Then when you put it back together use the middle screw for the bottom leaving the center one out. You won't notice its missing and you can't see when its back together..

  • Big thx men you are the best :))))

  • i have problem with the earpiece because I don't hear what is someone talking to me. earpiece is that black, small thing over LCD screen? how can I change it?

    sory for english :D

  • @kikus66 If you replace the digitizer it comes with a new earpiece. Its part of the front cover and can't be changed on its own

  • to repear nokia 6700 is easyer

  • Just wanted to say thanks for posting this video. You saved me an absolute fortune after my phone dropped out of my pocket. Cheers!

  • can u please post a video of changing flex cable for nokia c6? really need to learn fast..

  • @184danny I still have the C6, which cable to do you need to change?

  • @LE55ONS the flex ribbon/cable connecting the motherboard and the upper half..display is ok, digitizer is also ok, but the problem is that the main cable connecting to the mainboard is broken..

  • thanks 4 the video..

  • You are the best, from Spain thank you very much for this video

  • Thanks a LOT for this video. I was able to change the screen without any trouble.

    But i have a question :)

I bought in ebay this "original" nokia lcd. and the quality it's not even close. I have this tiny horizontal lines now and the colors are dull compared to the original one. the old one was an MP 1.5 screen and the new one an MP 2.0.

the thing is that I want to change the screen again for a really good one.

What are the details I need to know?

  • @pixieloco Its hard to source an original Nokia part. I had quite a heated argument with a seller that sent me what I thought was a cheap copy. It turned out to be a genuine Nokia part that was rejected by quality control. The price is a good guide as there's a big difference between cheap imports and original parts.

Let me know how you get on...

  • @LE55ONS thank you for the answer.

so.. I should use the price as reference? I bought mine for 20€. it was a good start because i wasn't sure if was only a screen problem. now I know :)

  • Great video. We just repaired our C6 following this video and everything went smoothly. Thx a million for taking the time to do this video.

  • I did all steps but now I can't hear anybody on the phone no ring when your call but my back speaker work...what is it ?

  • @oli0929 Which screen did you change?

  • @LE55ONS Digitizer ..I think my earpiece speaker doesn't function anymore I sweat my life right now !

  • @oli0929 Try your old screen, it might be a faulty earpiece on the new digitizer...

  • tnx man

  • Superbeschreibung,erklärung..Danke

  • GREAT VIDEO::: CONGRATULATIONS.... Thanks so much.. very very very USEFUL

  • Very nice instructions, thank you very much!

I appreciate the clarity, attention to detail, clear voice, perfect quality video a lot!

    Absolutely superb!

  • my screen gone blank

  • Thanks dude for this useful tutorial... I have to open my c6 to clean up the screen... a particle of dust were there....!

  • Thanx very much for posting. Since i have repaired my phone though, the text message icon flashes constantly despite deleting my inbox messages. Any ideas whats causing this?????

  • @d4rren Never heard of this problem, try searching or posting the question on the Nokia forums discussions.europe.nokia.com/

  • thanks, it´s very useful, cause my one is with lcd broked.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • thanks for a great instructional video!

  • @mrrfi99 Your welcome!

  • @LE55ONS i watched your video and i took the dust out that was between de lcd display and the screen, but now my speaker isn't working anymore? i very carefully followed your instructions and watched the video a few times but i was never close to the speaker! what happend?

  • @topper0306 I had the same problem during one of the many rehearsals I did before making this video. The speaker is a magnet and had attracted a small screw onto itself. This stopped the contacts on the speaker from connecting to the circuit board. I suggest you remove the back cover and check for any small metal bits that might be stuck on the back of the speaker. Please let me know how you get on...
