  • i mean you could have written like "kun mandir ma janchau yatri" bcs i found many words throughout the song difficult to get, i tried another with nepali lyrics in it but it couldnt be displayed... thanks anyway for the beautiful job you've done... i was in search of this song since long time...do you have any idea where i can get chords for this song?

  • Euta geet cha ni "Chaati Ma Nepali Mann Chaincha" bhanne tyo geet kasaile upload garna sakcha??

  • touch my hearts this songs

  • great song..i can't get enough hearing this song..

  • great song ever

  • yo geet sunda mero balya kal ko yaad aau6

  • it's really gr8 song i like it

  • Yo geet ley manabiye mulya ra manabta bhanda thulo kura kehi hoina......sewa nai dharma ho bhanne bhab lai avibyekti gareko cha........really like the poem by Devkota so much...........this is meant for all mankind beyond the scope of any religion.....so appreciate it..........

  • this is a beautiful song....reminds me many things of past...thanks for uploading....reallly doesnt matter either it have its original video or not.

  • This song is like getting me crazy....... I m going over it again and again,,,,,,,,,, Do any of you know the links where I can get the poems of laxmi prasad Devkota???

  • omg listenin to it over

    n over

    n over

    n over

    AGAIN!!!!

  • Dear noviceuttam I know the song is not about Religion but you must be well-versed of identifying that the exect words are needed in translation than in interpretretation..I can grasp the themetic ideas of his pray for humAnity in the poem but when I dare to be a translation,I should dare to translate as it is..But I am confused of if some word s I translated does have the meaning similiar to what I did!

  • My feelings about this poem is, Devkota must have given a true picture of the Nepali Society and the practices that were ongoing at his time. It should be different than My translation, but translation is not similar to interpretation, nevertheless,I just tried to give it an analogous shot. Hope you will take it easy.Poets are universal and I do stand here that Devkota should have let us know thematically-that Humanity Is Purer Than Religion Absurdity And Unseen-In-Person Tales. Thnx For Comment.

  • i like this song 2 much

  • This was the wisest Nepali man who dared to question the existence o God in a society where every stone is worshipped. Atheism FTW.

  • @akashnepali, There is not any conflict going on bhai. akarti10 over-understood what i said. But i respect his point of view though. I never thought or said devkota's poem is about religion but he thought otherwise. I was simply giving my opinion why i think native english speaker cant truly comprehend the lyrics of this poem, that's it. no more, no less.

  • @noviceuttam dai .christianity ko kura ta tapailey nai launeubhayeko chha ..tala hernus ta ektaal..ma ta aja ni yo biswas garchu ki an English Speaking person will understand its essence irrespective of his knowledge towards our culture..This poem is almost like "Imagine" by Beatles...the only thing i agree is in english the poem will not sound as beautiful as it does in Nepali....but the essence can be understood..

  • @noviceuttam I fail to understantd why a native English Speaker, who is as dillusioned from God as we are, fails to understand the lyrics..

  • @akarki10 ,If you think carefully, most of the native english speaker cherish Christianity ( US, UK, australia, nz, ireland, canada etc). And in Christianity, there is no "statue/poster worshiping" although they are not exempt from lots of superstitions and few element of ethnocentrism still prevalent among them. This poem/song is mainly about questioning the very idea of statue worshiping while neglecting the humanitarian aspects . Thats why i think they fail to comprehend the lyrics.

  • @noviceuttam .."the statue" is just a referral...it could mean the respective GOD or their essence in respective culture..you are right ..the song is about humanity ..the song is universal...just look at the transaltion made by dearrajan..i doubt an ENglish speaker would not truly grasp it..this song is not about religion,my friend..not at all..

  • gr8 job

  • Its forever song.I realy love this song. frend just keep on loading ok

  • nice songs thank u

  • thanks for the song uttam..........but u could have replaced the 'sorry card' with english subtitles (anyway I tried to translate a few lines and finally gave up....It's best as it is in good old Nepali :) ...)

  • @MrKAMALTHAPA

I thought about that but the native English speaker doesn't understand our culture enough to appreciate the value, substance and humanity inside this song. Others doesn't need subtitle. Devkota's creations are such that ordinary people like me will never be able to provide proper justice during translation.
