Newfoundland is a great place and will always be my home. Once i'm done school i'm probably going to have to go away for some work experience but i will be back as soon as possible. A Few weeks ago I came to Toronto, because I thought Newfoundland wasn't good enough for me anymore. I thought there was nothing to do, and I was always stuck on how there was nowhere where I could spend alot of money on "Modern day toys" . Just a few days ago, I started to find out how depressed I really am up here in the huge city. I'm really homesick, and sorry that I ever left. I love this song and in the video i see the comparisions. This song is about choices. Those of us who left had no choice or were afraid to make the choice to stay - I was one of them. There are many successful Newfies on the island as well as away as there are poor on the island and away off the island. I left at 17 - and I am going back at 60. I have property where I am and back home. I am a very proud Newfoundlander and many have congratulated me on such.

I'm a Newfie! Born here, and being raised here. It bugs me how everyone things we all say 'eh', like I dont think I've said it in my life, but other then that i love everything about being a Newfie. Well besides people making fun of us cause we're called "Newfie's" but people also think we're some of the nicest people you could ever meet and I love that.
