All you need to not get angry about the things Inmendham says is to downgrade your opinion of him, if you think he deserves it. If you have a high opinion of him, then what he says might make you think or be worth debating. If you have a middle or low opinion of him, you can take it with a grain of salt.

I am not even going to watch his opinion on this topic since he has always struck me as a bit of a chauvinist (that's my personal opinion, it is obviously not shared by everyone nor need to be.) I can imagine that his anti-violence outlook (which I appreciate) coupled with his idea of women as "less than" beings don't make for a pretty opinion on this subject.

schoolmaster1945 l can answer for myself l think it has to do with the wanting to fix someone who is bad saving them in a sense

but really all we end up doing is getting hurt.

I think when your parents condone that kind of contact it becomes difficult to distinguish whether it is a healthy or not healthy relationship. You depend on the adults around you to guide you in your behavior (even if you may not follow their guidance.)

That is true but I have seen examples where parents were doing thier best to guide but for some reason it did not change the behaviour...it may just be a personal choice...as they say "love can often be found in a pigs assh**e"..regards...
