I don't get why everybody hates this movie so much! To be honest I think if it weren't for this movie half the people who weren't alive when the first came out would even know about it. At least that's what happened for me. The Misers are incredible either way. Although I do wish they made Snow Miser resemble the first a little more.

Wonderful special, I didn't think they did stop-motion anymore. Mickey rooney, and George Irving reprise their roles as Santa, and Heat miser from 1974's Year without a Santa claus, But Dick Shawn, and Shirley booth who played Mrs. claus and Snow miser passed away long before this was made.

I don't hate this special, I'm actually pretty excited for them to bring the Miser Brothers back this way :) But, I don't think this was executed that well, the songs are pretty forgettable and I don't particularly like the way they animated it. However, the Miser Brothers song was just plain awesome and they're still pretty epic :) North Wind reminds me a lot of Lord Barkis from "Corpse Bride", I think it's the chin.

I don't know if saying this is mean or not but the woman who does the voice of Mrs. clause annoys the flip out of me. And when she sings the brothers song i couldn't even enjoy the song. i thought the lyrics were ok. Personally i like the original movie better but for a christmas special for little kids its all right. But i have nothing agianst the lady who voiced her but, in my opinion i just think her voice is annoying in this one.

This is a decent sequel I just wish that more time would've been spent with the character designs, the animations and the songs. First off the miser bros. should've had their appearances kept exactly the same. Mrs. Claus looks like a geek who should be working in some science lab, the North Wind needs a different look he just doesn't look right especially with the giant chin and small mouth, and most of the characters look like they were made in 5 minutes.

I don't get all the hate towards this special! Sure, it's not as good as the original, but it's still a fun enough special. The North Wind makes a good villain, I like that we see Snowy and Heat Miser's pasts, it has a nice message about not letting personal squabbles keep you from doing what's right, plus it gets extra points for bringing back two original cast members (George S. Irving as Heat Miser, and Mickey Rooney as Santa).

I like the fact it's stop-motion animated like the original, re-cast Rooney and Irving, and tried to have some heart, but I think the thing that gets people or at least me is the fact it still seems kinda forced, the songs aren't really that great other than the classic Miser songs, and the voice acting, and story aren't quite up to par with the original. It's not bad exactly, but wasn't a masterpiece to me. Still it's better than the CGI Rudolph sequel. MUCH better.

This is one of my new favorite Christmas movies. Messing with the classics is always pretty tricky, but I think they did as good a job as possible with sticking to the original characters while still updating it enough to make it current . I imagine trying to bridge the two stories together after a 30yr gap probably wasn't an easy task. I like the addition of the self absorbed North Wind character, he's pretty amusing.
