I think because cd sales and recorded music sales are so bad the only way the industry can think of getting more sales is by gimmicks. That's what happens when you let numbers guys run an artistic business that was traditionally run by real music people.
I run an indie label and at the height had about ten acts. It is sooo expensive and hard to do without a machine. I couldn't make it work with the amount of capital I had. I distribute solely through iTunes si distribution costs are low, it's the promotion that kills. People don't tend to buy things they haven't heard of.
So well-spoken, easily speaking on a wide variety of topics, with a rich and accurate vocabulary--all without swearing or gossiping or preaching.

the Music biz for now is on life support. Why would anyone bother to make music if it is just going to be stolen
