at best buy,but they discontinued it,maybe u can get it at dell,if not.....get a used one off craigslist......they discontinued cause del is upgrading the streak...code name opus one

To get get streakdroid recovery go to streakdroid for how to....for clockwork recovery I rooted it first,then in market I dled rom manager( btw these special recovery tools let you install a custom rom in their .zip format that youve put on you sd card,instead of the stock update.pkg

To root,i use superuser 1.7.0 , the trick to get it on phone is before you run it,click rageagainstmachine check box,and before......i said before : ) keep phone unpluged.....put in usb debuging mode,then turn of,take out sd card and sim,turn back on holding both camera and power buttons to get into fastboot,hit the fastboot button.....now before you plug into pc.....now hit root in the superuser app(with rageagainstmachine checked) the it will say "waiting for device" now plug it in

its not rooted yet,just need to follow the steps at streakdroid using qdltool to in stall 1.6.0 (2.2 froyo)

heres a forum i posted on this over at xda dell streak,in the Q&A sectionit will install 2.2 froyo....with the dell stage ui.....but my brother has installed dx top lite UI,to replace dell stage UI.....its free and you can install lots of different themes to work on it,another popular UI.....is adwlauncher ......put themes/wallpapers to use with them,i use appbrain.com

what rom do you have one it? i dont like the dell UI. its boring. and can you explain how you rooted it, xrecovery and all of that other stuff i cant seem to get somehow please?
