Saw them in college and in the boxing club in Drogheda many times.
On our big fat merry go round; great album. Loved them and Something Happens, Microdisney/Fatima Mansions, Golden Horde, Toasted Heretic, the Stunning, the Dixons, Light a Big Fire, Emotional Fish and of course my favs, That Petrol Emotion.
A House, why oh why is there not a monument in dublin to the genius that was? A House ended their excellent run with their only main stream hit, "here come the good times, for a change" Now we get to appreciate Daves insight into the shite that was to follow. Time for a national day of celebration of true creative genius! FUCK ARTHURS DAY ! What is needed is more of what A House were. Call me blue again!, too much bathroom music!
This brings so many great memories like dancing to it in zoe's nightclub in cork and many great a house g.igs in sir henrys and de lacy house. Thanks Dave, Ferg and the lads
Class band used to hang with them during the late 80's i ws working for a pirate radio station at the time we used to play them off the air. Saw Dave a few weeks ago in Dublin as mad as ever...
You're right, it fades out before the absolute end thanks to MTV's early segue of the next video, "Inside Out" by the Mighty Lemon Drops. I either had to keep that in, or fade it out a tad early - which is what I did, sorry! You're right MTV ommitted "FAT" from the album title, maybe they thought it might be offensive to some? Most likely it was just plain stupidity and didn't realize their ommission. I wish I had more, I am grateful I have this one however imperfect it is.
Aw Man. For how many years have I supported Dave and the Boys. My first date with my now wife was at an A House gig at the Mean Fiddler in 91. All that and this is the first time I've ever seen the video!! What about the IRMA awardss Dave? And do you REALLY hate this song??? A more complete song than your later whinging list songs?? Why Me indeed?
perfect example of the great 80's ,, pensacola fl

@cnomad I would have gladly taken this video with "Inside Out"... that would be a double whammy for me! Great stuff!

I'm so happy to see this video here! Just a couple of things, though... it fades out before the absolute end, and MTV got the album title wrong! :-P
