I'm not sure what to make of this? Can a "seed" created by God be patented? Some people are saying you won't be able to grow your own tomatoes and give them to your family or friends? This sounds outrageous and absurd, but none the less, IF this is the case or ever will be and you try to stop me or simply confront me about growing food on my private property? You'll be breathing far more easily through some cleanly burned 9mm holes... You and your Godless friends can take that to the bank...

there are waves of suicides amoung farmers in India, because of the terminator seeds.. people and soils become sick and poisoned from the Round Up pesticides..

@RespectMyHate No. Nobody wants to chew on seeds in grapes and watermelon, that is purely to benefit the comsumer. Terminator seeds, that have never actually been commercialized and are not farmed with, were created to stop/slow what is called genetic pollution.

@OntarioCrops You wouldn't know it by seeing them you would by reading and studying and you will find that all of the U.S. corn crop, a great portion of soy products are genetically modified. And the reason they are Terminator seeds is because they won't reproduce seeds for future crops. The farmer has to buy them from the seed producer Monsanto. These seeds have been geneticaly spliced with insects, and various pharma-crop pesticides. They are there we aren't supposed to know it.

it has nothing to do with GM technology. Even organic hybrid corn comes in a bag and is usually purchased every year.

you see volunteer corn growing in fields all the time in the next planting season.....the cobs are crappy.

Hybrid X hybrid = terrible corn cob.

Have you actually tried planting a "terminator seed" before?

I know for a fact, that if I take a round up ready soybean seed and put it in soil it will grow.

Try it for yourself before you believe what people tell you.

The majority of farmers buy corn seed every year. It has nothing to do with Monsanto always. New varieties equate to higher yields.

people still buy non gmo corn seed every year.

people don't pretend to be experts when you really don't have hands on experience.

Most of the US corn crop is grown from hybrid seed.

The grain from a plant grown from a hybrid seed will sprout and grow just fine, but it likely won't yield.

That is the reason farmers buy new seed every year.

It has nothing to do with GMO.

It has been like that since the 1930s.

DuPont's Pioneer varieties did well in the weather stress.

Monsanto will have to step up a bit to keep up with the competitors' new GMO offerings.
