Most american salsa male dancers confused ladies styling and men's styling. This is one of the blatant examples.

Check out "cuban salsa", son+columbia searches, or Osbanis or Cubamemucho. You can see the differences between men styling (latin machosissmo + afro) and women's styling (depolete + afro-cuban).

If you mean that Mario is doing it wrong, I would disagree. You gave Cuban stylying as an example, which is different from the ON2 & ON1 styles. Mario's Salsa technique is based on Jazz and afro-rican moves ON2. Do a search under "Gallito", ON2 & ON1 styles differentiate in comparison to Cuban.

Another example is "Colombian Salsa" footwork only. In your opinion it may be wrong but is really based on preference and what you consider to be true salsa. Take a look at some of the videos submitted
