its so sad to see such a beautiful and talented woman's life end after such an amazing life. Everything she worked for started to go south and i wish her successful career lasted longer.
Tonight I watched the movie "Dorothy Dandridge" I think is the title whereby the part of Dorothy is played by the beautiful Halle Berry. I really enjoyed it. It's sad that she died at the early age of 42.
Interesting video but wish they wouldn't recycle the images so many times. When talking about her return to the circuit, let's see some pictures of her real return rather than just recycled pics from her youth. Maybe they just didn't have the copyright to them and didn't want to spend the extra money.

It all depends on your parent combing the beauty genes!! the way you ask questions i can tell you're ugly on the inside and possible on the out side. What a lovely actress and singer she was. We have countless examples to show that fame and fortune do not bring happiness. Many if not most celebrities end up having nervous breakdowns,becoming drug addicts (either recreation or medical drugs), suffer emotional/mental instability,etc These entertainers do entertain but apparently at a great cost to their own personal happiness.

Her mother was NOT attractive at all. She was a very cold hearted person! She and Dorothy's sister were envious so they isolated her out of the family and dorothy felt miserable. What a shame! Dorothy was better than them!

I feel bad for Dorothy given the time period she was in I could see why she was a troubled and tragic figure. I think she deserves just as much recognition as Marilyn Monroe.

Dorothy Dandridge---the most beautiful woman in the world...What a doll!!! The photo @ 1:31 has always been one of my favorites. No one will ever touch her in class, beauty, talent, or glamour. Dorothy should never have had to put her daughter, Harolyn in a state institution, because her father Harold Nicholas was very rich and famous and could have easily seen to his daughter's care and provided for her. That's what parents who love their children do. DD is timeless!!!!!

In the picture shown at 3:35-3:44, she looks very much like Natalie Wood ...something in the eyes & her mouth. She was an extremely beautiful woman but it sounds like her depression was more of a life long situation which caused problems with her relationships.
