I've watched both of the Battle Royale movies and no. Yeah both are kids pitted against each other but that's about as far as the similarities go. I feel as if Battle Royale is a shallow movie where as the Hunger Games has a depth to it. Maybe it's because I read the Hunger Games book and not read the mangas for Battle Royale? Maybe it's simply because I spent most of my time trying to read the subtitles as fast as I can so I don't miss anything on the screen? Maybe I just missed it all together

My problem with Jennifer Lawrence was that she was fair-skinned and blonde when Katniss has dark hair and tanned skin from her always being outside hunting. The hair was an easy fix, but she's still too pale for my taste. And why is Peeta's hair still not that blonde? I find that troublesome.

OK I LOVE The Hunger Games books but I am honestly NOT going to see the movies. I seriously don't like the casting choices for this movie. I feel that the Katniss, Peeta, and Gale should be played be TEENAGERS because they are TEENAGERS in the book. Where the authenticity of the characters we read about and seen in the portrait of Katniss and Peeta in the UK edition of The Hunger Games. Thought the main reason why Jen Law's casting was controversial was because some or many in the fandom thought that it was unfair that a caucasian blonde actress would portray a character described in the books as having olive skin and dark hair.*shrug*

Jen is a great actress though and make-up/hair-dye does wonders, but a little variety when it comes to the looks of lead characters would be cool imo.
