  • the device on their necks is the doggie door sensor. it activates it when they get close to it so the can go in and out.

  • what is that in his neck a tracker?

  • im volenteering at the tracy ca animal shelter on the 18th(:

  • tortoises aren't allowed to eat dog food!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it can start a bacteria bloom in his stomach, and hes got pyramiding! take the time to read about your tortoise!

  • I have tears in my eyes , beautiful video

  • Gizzmo has always been the strongest and toughest in my pack. He has never ever cried of pain in his life. Even when I have accidentally stepped on him, or when he didn't measure his distances well and his jump ended up on the floor he has never said anything, he always shakes up and moves on. He is my trooper and an example to follow.

  • My heart is truly breaking for Gizzmo. He is such a little trooper ,He shows such strength with character. There is a place after they leave this world and to be sure they will be there waiting for their loving family. He shows strength & true spirt right now because he knows he has such a gentle, loving mom to get him through it all. Keep your chin up and hold unto the happy memories Gizzmo has given to you .

  • I want to say Thank God!! for such sincere loving, kind hearted, caring people like you who have the heart and soul of an Angel to see the good in all animals. And to rescue them like this. GOD Bless you !! They are Such beautiful adorable dogs with a happy loving mom and home now.. I love the turtle lol! Soo cute to be eating with the other dogs etc. Thats so adorable..How they all come together just as family should.. Your one of a kind.. You have such a loving heart...

  • Thanks for your kind words. I am sad to inform you that Gizzmo has cancer and he is being doing the chemo therapy. He got well, but all of a sudden it came back really quick. His mood is the same though. He is fine, happy looking as always, so I try not too think so much about the cancer to give him a normal life all the way until the end.

    Thanks

    Luana

  • Just stopping in to say hello, again. I re-visit this video, frequently. You are my soul sister :)

    Love,

    susan

  • This is a really good video. God bless you and your doggies, and your turtle. I love your back yard. I wish I had a huge back yard like yours. God bless and thanks for making this video.

  • Nice video,...

Just a note, Sulcatas can not eat dog food, it causes pyramiding... as shown on your sulcata...

Thanks for the video, great job

  • ur nice i wish there was 100 more ppl like u

  • Please read below on the comments. SHe eats mostly hay, and leafy greens. The pyramiding was already there when rescued...they do not go away.

    Thanks for your comments.

  • I love this video...all of the dogs have great personalities....Gizzmo you can tell is especially happy...how did he get the scare on his back? I love th hicking pictures with the Tortoise...I have one named George!

  • Gizzmo is very sweet, and very brave. I have never ever heard that dog crying or yelping about anything, he is my tough little man. The scars are from surgery. When I adopted him from the pound he had a huge tumor on the neck and several little benigne one all over his body which I got removed. The big scar is from the big tumor. He is fine now.

  • you are a great person

  • kool

  • aw, they're all really cute. i think mimi is adorable!

  • Beautiful, especially Gizzmo.

  • Gizzmo is really cute, specially when I give him a haircut. He has a very cute personality as well.

    Thanks for commenting.

  • those are great recepies, but they seem more for older tortoises, I have a smaller tortoise, but i will give that a shot. If you have recepies for younger tortoises i would like to here them thanks.

  • They all eat the same thing. Just mash it up in smaller bites. Tortoises are on their own when they are born out of the egg, it is not like the mom brings them special food or gives them milk. They have the same diet.

  • great movie i have two beagles, two horses and one Sulcata tortoise. i just got my tortoise three weeks ago and i am still looking for some good food for him to eat inside so i can sprinkle that calcium stuff on so if you can tell me that would be great. ty

  • love the fact that ur dogs have shock collars on.. real nice..

  • LOL...They are not shock collars...didn't you hear them barking when they were playing? They are sensor for a fancy doggy door they have that only opens up when they aproach it so they can come in and out as they please.

  • cute animals! i like the turtle maybe he thinks that hes a dog too.very cute!

  • HOLA A TODOS, ATENCION!!! Gracias por sus comentarios., mi tortuga Sulcata se alimenta basicamente de comida formulada especial para sulcatas, heno y hierbas silvestres. Comida para perros es mala, mucha proteina. Gracias, La Creadora Del Video.

  • ATTENTION PLEASE!!!! I would like to mention that I am aware that DOG FOOD IS BAD FOR SULCATAS, it causes over growth. Unfortunatelly her shell already had the piramids when I rescued her. My Sulcata's diet is based on hay grass, greens and specially formulated dry food, which is what you see on the video. Thanks for your Comments and Keep Watching, Thanks, The Video Maker.

  • you are beautiful, and the pets are beautiful!!! i love it!

  • She eats a variaty of food. Dry, fresh grass, hay, dehydrated leaves and grass, flowers, and whatever she finds in the backyard.

  • May God bless you in every way possible. We need more people like you in the world. Thank you for all you do on behalf of animal lovers everywhere.

  • Thanks for your comments. If wishes came true I would ask for billions of dollars so I can save as much animals as possible...maybe buy huge portions of the rain forest too so nobody could ever build there. I do what I can for now until my wish comes true.

  • ATTENTION!!! BY THE WAY, THE LITTLE DEVICE YOU SEE ON THE DOGS COLLARS IS JUST THE SENSOR THAT OPENS UP THE AUTOMATIC DOGGIE DOOR, and not a shock collar for barking. I love it when my doggies bark.

  • What beautiful animals! As a Shih Tzu owner, I particularly like the little Shih Tzu.. but the others are adorable too --> and so lucky to have come into the lives of someone who clears loves them dearly!! Good on you!! Puppy hugs from Brisbane, Australia ;-)

  • Thanks for your comments. I just rescued a pitbull puppy someone dumped on the fields outside of the town where I live in California. She is adorable and very smart. So a total of 5 doggies running around my house and backyard. Eventually I will buy land so I can rescue more.

  • amazing vid. i cried. lol and my dog zoe would be like "What in the world is this thing?" if she saw the tortoise

  • LOL. I just rescued one more doggie, and she totally freaked out when she saw the tortoise. She was like WHAT THE HELL?. SHe is a pitbull Puppy I found on the fields. Looks like some one dumped her. She is adorable and very smart.

  • I would like you to commend you on your great work with your wonderfull pets. As a tortoise fanatic i can see you have taken amazing care of your sulcata. Once he was that piramided at the time you rescued him it would prety much continue even with great care. It happend with a friends sulcata that he rescued in the same condition, and my russian tort raised in inadiquate conditions before I found him.

    Great job, nice vid!!!

  • Hey. Remember me? I wanted to ask you about the SUlcata Diet. What was that ingredient that you told me to watch out for on the dry food for the tortoise??? I just went to the store and they have 3 brands for sulcatas and they all seemed to have the same ingredients. I just couldn't remember what was that ingridient you told me about...I think it was you. I hope you can answer. Thanks

    Luana

  • Stay away from all grain and soy products. the only food in the part of canada i live in is called "grassland tortoise yummies" funny name but good product. if you cant find that just avoid grain, it should be very high fiber very low protien food.

  • Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for being you and bring so much love to the world.

    GOD bless the innocent.

    love,

    susan :)

  • Thank you for making a video about your beautiful adopted babies :)! More people need to do the same!

  • Oh my God, I love this music. What is it call?

  • THE RETURN OF THE INNOCENCE, by Enigma. Thanks for watching.

  • troppe crocchette per cane creano piramidalizzazione !!!

  • No hablo italiano, pero entiendo un poco. La tortuga no come crocchette per cane. Solo come comida especial para tortugas. Las piramidalizzazione ya estaban ahi cuando la adopte hace 18 meses. Ella solo come gras, heno y verduras, y su comida especial crocchette per tortugas.

  • Your babies look so happy~ Good for you that you rescued. This is one of the best videos I've seen and carries a great message. Thank you for posting :)

  • Thanks. There are so many animals out there that have been mistreated that need a chance. Buying pets from breeders only promotes the exploitation of animals, they don't care about the animals, they only care about how much money they can make. The best place to find a pet is a rescue center or the pound. It could be cheaper, but depending on how much work the pet needs it might be as expensive as buying one...but it is rewarding.

  • Only on that occassion, she got away with eating maybe 3 small bite-pebbles. The rest in the red bowl is specially formulated tortoise dry food. She only eats grasses and wheeds in the backyard and a lot of Hay mixed with calcium.

  • Great video. I LOVED your pets, and it is great to know that you rescued them from the shelter and you are giving them the perfect life ;)

I loved the part where the turtle came and joined the meal LOL

    kat

  • Thank you Car for your comments. The tortoise part surprises everybody everytime, but in reality they are not suppossed to eat dog food. She got away that time with a couple of bits and then I gave her her special dry food diet for sulcatas. These type of tortoise can not take proteine, their diet is basically hay, weeds, flowers, dry stuff..whatever she could find in the dessert. She is a dessert African Sulcata tortoise and she is twice as big now.

    Thanks again for watching.
