To the bunch of simpletons who are bashing the crowd for being too quiet: Realize that, by the time Bryan Adams started, these people had been in the stadium for four hours and seen a dozen other artists already. And the concert went on for ANOTHER 10 hours after that!
There was a crapload of artists in Philly that day. Most people don't go nuts for 14 hours straight at a concert featuring so many artists of different musical genres.
taylor swift did an amazing acoustic cover of this song. glad to see her, with the 5 instruments, the one who wrote her entire 5x platinum album herself, the producer/director/CEO, still accept all kinds of music
The 69 in the title is a reference to the group of sex positions that are called 69 in which two people align themselves so that each person's mouth is near the other's genitals, simultaneously performing oral sex it has nothing to the year this is clarified at 3:11 when Adams sings "Me and my baby in a 69".
I think as long as he burns for what he's doing. Let him, I love the guy, great singer. I grew up with this so, maybe it's not so weird that I'm saying that - BUT! seriously listen it's just LOVE :) BEAUTIFUL MUSIC! bring back memories.
@JN5B11 Justin Bieber of the 80s ? Bryan Adams??? Are you crazy. Bryan Adams was and is a rock legend who paid his dues on live stage after live stage entertaining millions of fans year after successful year even up to this very day. ustin Bieber is someone who cannot even sing live and will be a one trick pony - an overnight, here today gone tomorrow pretty boy. A true example of marketing over talent, typical of today's cynical exploitation of young child stars.Poor Justin. Bryan rocks

I used to think this song was about Brian Adams in the year 1985 (think that was when this song was recorded) thinking back to 1969, perhaps the year he graduated high school and the summer to follow, usually a bright time in a young person's life. The funny thing is though, Adams was just a 9-year old kid that summer...
He's struggling to stay in tune, he probably couldn't hear himself and his voice sounds like he's recovering from the flu, still there are five or six tops like him out there, maybe Springsteen and a few others.
I love the 60's and 70's. Come on, atleast back then they made real MUSIC, with a heart and a soul, these days it's just plastic sounding crap, all for the profit..
