Wouldnt it be interesting if they were to remake Soul Reaver as it was originally intended? an 'Alternate aspect' if you will, so we could conclude the series the way it was originally intended. not that i have anything against Kain; he's a great anti-hero, but a "What if" scenario'd game would be a game i'd be willing to play
From what I read, Turel was supposed to be that weird guardian creature you learn the... shot attack (I forget it's name) from (hence why that creature is counted as a boss). There's even dialog for it, but they took it out and made it just a regular monster.
@DarwinwasWrong well not ran out of time, but ran out of hard disk ,i mean the Game size was too huge, and besides they said Turel's texture is awfull,so that's why they cut him and a whole bunch of shit.
That's Morlock, an ordinary Turelhim vampire (perhaps a lieutanant or so). The reason of his absence in the time of Soul Reaver was that the developers had no more time. In Defiance however, we learn that Turel was "teleported" to the Cathedral by Hylden worshippers to serve as a vessel for the Hylden. This imprisonement in time made Turel a madman. His mind was ok, but he was from time to time possesed. When Raziel killed him, Turel said that "We would all be...free"
@LOKBLUDOM3N Um, actually, yeah, they DID run out of time. Soul Reaver, as it is now, is roughly 400 MB. That's not that big. Turel, his territory, the Human Citadel expansion, the Preistess, the death-of-Kain and Vampire-destruction ending, and at least a dozen other attacks and Reaver enhancements were planned. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, CD and Eidos had to cut portions in order to meet their deadlines. Turel's conversation was fitted to Morlock instead.
@wayne62682 you can fight turel in the sequel after this one "defiance" he gives you a enhanced telekenisis (shot attack )...he looks alike from this vid only that hes four legged and yopu beat hm using sound drums....makes dumah look tiny
@AndyCOBHC Wow, that's ignorant. Turel was cut from SR1 in the reasons I mentioned above, and was not "randomly" put in Defiance. He was summoned by Azimuth the Planer (a sorceress from Blood Omen with dimension-altering powers) to become a tangible entity in the Hash'ak'gik cult, and a weapon of war if it became necessary. Turel even says this in Defiance; "I was taken. There was darkness, and great hunger." He also became the Hylden's messenger, furthering the belief that he was Hash'ak'gik.

@wayne62682 Well that Turelim is called Morlock, is the guardian of the Sarafan Tomb and i don't know why he's counted as a boss.
And the reason for cut Turel is beacause they already made Turel in Defiance as the last Brother.

@LOKBLUDOM3N Actually, they ran out of time when making the first Soul Reaver and had to cut him and several other things from the game.

@LOKBLUDOM3N Wasn't Turel there for like 5 minutes and that's where you get the telekenisis?
It's been SUCH a long time since I've played.

wow that's cool, so they originally had Turel in Soul Reaver 1? I wish they kept him in it instead of randomly putting him in Defiance.
