you need to know the skills for this exam aswell though, as its a skilled exam, do you have anything that would help me know how to use the skills such as inference, cross referencing, etc? this video has taught me all the knowledge for my exam tomorrow, thankyou so much!
great video wording little fast but brilliant content love the work of lister and the others mentioned are great thanks to them we have a better health care system
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! sure there were some spelling mistakes and such, but I was desperately in need of information for an 8th grade powerpoint I was doing and this was extremely helpful! You saved my health grade! :)
Thanks man! Great video, it helped me for my school assignment :D It would've been better if you also talked a little more about how much church halted the advancement of surgery.
exam to moz and i thought it was noly me lol but this time last year people had the same exam to moz lol i just cant reember who did what and there names lolim dooomed
Great use of the 'Saw' tune... Forgot to mention how early Christians viewed surgery as well as the learning practices applied ... Many were seen as heretics.
erley surgery too was barbaric I think too as for infections too Sir Joseph Lister brought in Fenon {Carbolic Acid} listers Carbolic acid sprayer that was one way surgeons fought infections and then as for putting people to sleep Simpson invented cloroform and eather was also invented but they was dangerous because of the risk of fire and 2 if too mutch was given to a patient they died but I think a lot of lessions have been learned from the 1800-1890.
how can anybody say that about women haveing nothing for pain during childbirth that's just wrong I think women or anybody else shouldn't have to go through pain that's what morphine is there for and petherdine and opium I realise they didn't have it in early sugery but later on they did and it was a good thing haveing opiates because the poor b@@@@@@ didn't feel anything and wasn't botherd what they was doing as long as they wern't in pain opiates are the best thing ever invented by doctors.
@helraiser666painkil Unfortunately they believed pain during childbirth was a Godgiven punishment and should not be interfered with. However when Queen Victoria was given chloroform during childbirth there were suddenly a lot of converts!
In the civil war, Confedaret Medical Surgon, one of my old uncles created an new part of our evreyday lives, The Liston Knife, It was the first knife that could cut threw pure bone, witch they needed despretly in the war. He was also known as the first doctor to to the first surgory under anastayshia (speeled wrong) in England.
This was a truly informative and historically correct vid. Very well done. So next time a bod gets on their soap box and spouts about poverty in our inner cities, they might like to be reminded of what REAL poverty was. Many slum dwellings in E London did not disappear until the mid 1970's, and even today, the quality of some council housing leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, as shown in the vid, it takes a war to wake officialdom up.
rofl ur a legend my friend.. hope ur having a good eaaster... im watching all ur vids and making notes... D.w I'LL be top 10% in the UK for both me and you then you can get a pay rise h@h@ :) <3<3<3

nitrous oxide or laughing gas did not take away pain it just made the patient less aware of it, I think you need to revise

The fake alien autopsy at the very end totally ruined this otherwise excellent rendering of medical history.

I've read in med.book about surgery history it was horrible for those people who had to lie on the surgeon table...
