Yeah, these songs demand incredible vocal pyrotechnics and Plant just cant bring 'em anymore. And what was up with Page (aside from the fact that he's 63!!!)? His play was incredibly sloppy, but also really uninspired.
It's like watching Muhammad Ali get beat by Spinks when you knew that in his prime, Ali could've wiped the floor with the punk. Really, really sad....
you obviously just don't get it! I thought, given the fact that it was recorded through a mobile phone, the playing was really good. I guess you just do not appreciate what is good and what is not.
I actually find some of this performance to be better than some of the performances that they gave when they were still together. If you've heard anything later on in their career, they didn't sound that great.
Are you kidding, page is brilliant? the tight thing is that they are going new places with the music and still remaining ZEP. Plant doesn't have to sing high
Warner Music's removal of these sad vids may be the first time that Greed really IS Good!
It was an act of mercy to scrap the depressing proof of Plant & Page's all-too-sad decrepitude. They're old and done. They should walk Over the Hill & Far Away where their legend never grows old.
