Hip Hop kinda killed the funk so you have to check with the older goys to get the funk concept.

MARLOWE!! Do you ever have problems with your korg pandora? My px5d randomly craps out and also makes very scary screeching noises. My friend thinks its haunted. And i swear, it randomly played a drumfill one time while i was playing with the rhythm option. It was right at the end of a phrase too so it fit. man very creepy

Just out of curiosity, how do you EQ your slap tone? I've always boosted mids and kept treble and bass flat, but lately I've been hearing a lot about scooping mids. Just wanted to hear your take on it.
