  • First of all, "My Sharona" isn't THAT beloved (and wasn't that good either), and the resemblance is only coincidental. You think having the same beat qualifies as plagiarism? You would be wrong, but I'm guessing you're used to that by now.

    This is one of Mulvey's comic songs, but it is not what makes him a folk genius. His guitar does, and his lyricism does as well.

  • Gods, I love this song! I saw Peter Mulvey perform it in Lawrence, KS, and he says he will have a new album out late summer '09.

    He can play a guitar like no one's business, but he has a real talent as a poet. This is a funny example of that talent, but he can be serious as well.

    I keep waiting for a vid of "Windshield" to appear soon. THAT is one haunting song.
