  • He used to have great voice, but not anymore???

I like his voice 20 years ago.

  • RICK ASTLEY STILL REMEMBERED

  • Rick had a wonderful voice.....don't know why he gave up singing.

  • Isso que é classe e elegancia, música boa, e não as músicas de hoje, que são vulgares... a tendencia é a decadencia..

  • never knew it was Rick Astley's song until today, wow, and it has been one of my most emotional love songs i've always heard on the radio. Rick Astley is unique, only Aiden of last season's x factor came close to the uniqueness of his voice

  • j'adore! trop mignon Rick!

  • he's trying too hard to sound like the original

  • ne late dads fave song ,,, ave to kiss any1 whos sings it xxxxxxxx

  • Rick made a come back in europe in 2003 i think with keep it turned on album. fantastic album, but only released it in germany. He has recently released lights out, his first uk single for 20 years. check it out on here, fantastic song.

  • He is so cute..wtah a voice!!! Hes song makes me to fall in love again..with some one very special but this time for always!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He sounds like Nat King Cole.

  • that voice is unic and he is my singer preferit :)....

  • how did never gonna give you up become a rick roll?Justwondering who decided on that one :P

  • whatever happened to Rick. He sure is missed

  • @WilliamPierce38 He is releasing a new album.

go search for Lights Out by him.

  • @WilliamPierce38 ~ He retired to a career in finance/banking, from what I heard.

  • THA VOICE.

  • GUYS! Sony removed Never Gonna Give You Up on this channel! Someone needs to stop this!

  • Klazzy jazz hit with Rick

  • @BuyBenco ~ This isn't jazz.

  • @edwardjames50 Sure is-originally a jazz song from the fifties 'NOA YAHWR FAKTZ!" Rick just reinterpreted it my point was "klazzy jazz hit...WITH rick", as if it's main point was it bei'n a jazz song and Rick was just a seide flaoor

  • @BuyBenco ~ It is NOT jazz, it's a pop standard, and there's a huge difference. Your labelling it "jazz" exposes your musical ignorance. People like you call everything that isn't rock and roll "jazz". Jazz is a very specific genre, and a song like this, unless it is given a distinct jazz interpretation (which Astley does NOT), is not jazz. Jazz is a performance style, and not a type of song. "Green Dolphin Street" often gets a jazz interpretation, but the melody is actually from a movie score.

  • @edwardjames50 All reit composed in the jazz era though but I know a good bit of 20s-early 60s musik and am very specific with my janruhz, like with krooning and instrumentilz 'n' stylez of performance.

  • this is the song that i would like for my brothers weeding

  • the comment with peter cetera and rick astley hit it on the head the best 2 voices of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when I hear this I imagine dancing slowly on the beach under the bright moon & shining stars as the waves crash on the sand & I am holding the woman I love close to me :) such a romantic song & I am a romantic kinda of guy.

  • rick rick, your voice is sic you sound like you're chewing a stickle brick x x x

  • he sounds a bit like Nat King Cole

  • God now there is a competion with who sings this song better? him or Celine Dion and Clive Griffin? I love the song period, I think I love both versions of it. Rick is too romantic for words.

  • i think i've just been rickrolled.

  • Good God I love that coat, it distracts me from his slightly lower than usual voice. I didn't know that was possible. he still controls his voice so well

  • Comment removed

  • I'd love to snuggle by the fire with him! He's sooo hot!!! love his voice too. Can't resist a deep manly voice like his!!! :)

  • That manly voice is so hawt but he looks like a innocent kid. He's youthful but has such a mature voice that's instant classic.

  • beautiful landscape.... beautiful video....beautiful song....but he looks almost as a grandson i' d have loved to have... every time I see his harmless little good boy look I can't help wondering where did he take his gorgeus pure-male voice from

  • I love this song & the video to.this is the song I would love to slow dance to on the beach under the moonlight shining on the ocean as the stars shine brightly . we are in each others arms dancing & our hearts are beating as one. as the song ends we kiss passiontly. & the waves crash at our feet. romantic night. I am a romantic at heart.

  • He looks familiar. Haven't I seen him in a movie?

  • @WiiG64 maybe you got rickrolled in the past. lol

  • you suck.

  • wish it was a rickroll

  • rick astley is like peter cetera- he could sing the menu at red lobster & i would gladly listen...

  • @spiritualaccent you crack me up..LOL.HA!!!

  • I still think that Nat King Coles version is the best

  • I remember this track being in the charts but you can tell by his body language in this video that he didnt want to even do this track, PWL made him do it; and he still did a great job of it. Sorry Nick the G00; if you dont like it, dont watch it. Its not rocket science!

  • wot a an uneducated tosser u r...........

  • i thought his body language was to sort of indicate that he wasn't in love and that he was sad? is it really because he didn't want to do the song?

  • I know, ain't it great?

  • i saw rick astley live on saturday 21st november 2009 at butlins in minehead. he is still amazing and has got new material being made

  • Does anyone know where is Rick Astley?

  • This is the "Romantic Rick Roll." LOL

  • * Sigh..another moving tune by Rick Astley, romantic!! Makes my heart melt.

    :)

  • Remember that this was the first song of him that made me go on listening to his other songs. Love his voice so much. Thx for posting.

  • ,,,,,, WOW. all I ever got was rickrolls.... this cover is really good.

  • His version sounds quite a bit like Nat King Cole's.

  • Yeah, with a hint of Jhonny Mathis...even the hair.

  • What a voice.

Didn't he retire from music when he was 22 or something?

  • @Holdenon3 2010s

Astley is a special guest throughout Peter Kay's new tour, starting on the 27th of April and culminating on the 22nd of May 2010. To mark the occasion, Rick Astley released a new single Lights Out, digitally on the 28th April 2010 and physically on the 7th June 2010.[14] This is Astley's first release in the UK Singles Chart for 17 years.

  • @Holdenon3 Retired at the age of 22 ? Really ? What a waste , he´s got so much talent ! Why did he do that ?

  • @saudadedemais Rick retired to look after his daughter. He missed his daughter's first steps due to being abroad, and when he saw his daughter walk, it had a such an effect on him that he quit to become a good father.

  • @wdn90 That´s beautiful ! A devoted christian and an amazing father ! May God bless him always !

  • @wdn90 I admire that.

Regarding this song, I believe that he only recorded it at the time if it was left just as an album track - but lo and behold SAW double crossed him and brought it out for Christmas.

  • @saudadedemais He retired in 1993 aged 27 because he decided family was more important, but did return to music in the noughties :)

  • @Holdenon3 no this is his first song

  • ahh rick astley! he was born on my street and newton and still has lots of love for him

  • what age are youu ?X

  • mine an davids love song all those years ago xxxxxx in the 80s im not that old although im a nanna x

  • this song is so beautiful..it sounds like it came out in the 50s!

  • It originally did come out in the 50's - 1952, to be exact. It was originally sung by Doris Day and has been re-recorded by 63 other people.

  • wow!

    thanx 4 that.

  • Im a straight dude and I gotta admit he has one of the best voices I've ever heard.

  • He has a beautiful voice, and just putting it out there, he acctualy has an attractive face..But I guess that is in my own opinion. ^^;;

  • Its his british accent that makes his songs sound even better.

  • I have to agree with that. His voice is very unique and, I haven't really heard a voice like that from a man who seems quite young back then.

  • Thursday oct 22 2009 1:13pm

it's rick time at my house again

which starts with being rick rolled

then moving to the hold you in my arms track followed by when I fall in love

Thanks rick you always have a place here.

  • it seems like there is another audio track with his video O-o just because its weird that he looks so cute and young but the voice is like way way low and manly O-o (do not mean to insult him in anyway!!!)

  • I think his voice is just irresistibly manly (apart from sweet and wonderfully educated) , but his look.....yes, it's nice, but ...so "young boy-like".... so "harmless".... that even in my 20's I would have felt like taking him to a fairground attraction rather than "home"....

  • I luv his music

  • Which Naked Gun film was this in?

  • Rick has a deep voice..

Wow! I hate all of his stupid Rick Roll songs they are messed up!

  • O_o

Did Rick get a deep voice?!

  • LOL thats what i said O.0

  • he looks like hes 15 yrs old

  • for sum reason this video reminds me of mr rogers

  • oooooooooo this song gives me the chills and makes me swoon.

  • i'm dying to give you my heart but the cost is too dear. Pr. A.

  • gr8 song!

  • Lol xD

  • to me the "dancing cow" video is queerer.

  • The video is pretty bad in that it's so cheesy/corny/hokie but please don't equate being gay with being a bad thing.

  • ha my bad

  • I damn I got When I fall in Love'd

  • me too hahahaha

  • the older songs had freaking lyrics that make sense not like frickin rap

  • He really comes close to sounding like Nat King Cole here. I guess he has really great control of his voice.

  • Beautiful voice - great singer with some great songs - music nowadays is just pathetic

  • You like RICK ROLL!

  • i cant beleive i just watched the whole thing o_0

  • merry christmas!

  • his voice is so pwerful :)

  • You got rick soul'd.

  • hE IS NOT GAY ITS JUST THE WAY HE DANCES DUMB ASS

  • That is a wonderful performance, I am so surprise a young boy like him can sing like that.

  • Wait, he could sing like that?

    damn sexy bitch...

  • Can you imagine any 21year old boy make these song nowadays ? That would be awesome but it will never happen I'd guess.

  • Fake Snow.

  • loveroll'd

  • Bravo Rick Astley.....We hear you forever.....Macedonia........Thank you...

  • since it's christmas in the vid, i guess hes talking about santa gettin on with mrs. claus....LOL. great song.

  • He is a great just like Sinatra or Martin.

  • Christmas rolled!

  • Why did you have to screw up the spelling of NAT KING COLE?

    From Nate Gnau

  • I think this is the genre hw would have been best in career wise. He is obviously talented, but the 80's pop is not his fortay.

  • I would like to hear more from him. He is good.

  • It just goes to show you what great a voice the guy had. Stock Aiken Waterman really squandered the talents of an amazing vocalist on their cheesy, shitty brand of 80s synth pop. It would have been great to see what Astley in his prime could have done with a real band behind him instead of some tosser with an electric keyboard.

  • damn good voice :-D

  • dude, he is channeling Nat King Cole in this one

  • NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP! NEVER GONNA LET...wait this ISN'T a Rick Roll??

  • lol!!!

  • Such a mesmerizing soul capturing voice..

  • cute face with an amazing voice

  • SO MUCH WIN!!!!

  • 80's-tastic

  • This is so epic!

  • really cayla? Really?!

  • one of my favorite voices

  • so is this the new rick roll or some shit?! lmao

  • i think i just got rick rolled without even knowing it wtf

  • no this isnt rick roll. Its one of his songs. The guy who uploaded it is called "RickAstleytv"

  • Hahahaha

  • i love this vid! its pretty well kept for being an older video.

  • 1000000000000000

  • giner's suck raw anus

  • <3 gingers...

  • I dedicate this song to my baby IRONIK<3

  • OMG! I can't believe Rick Astley was the original singer of this song!.. (I was only born a few years before this was sung)

  • Actually the first major version of the song was done by Doris Day...in 1952.

  • i forgive the stupidity of thinking he was the first ....the one you are thinking of is nat king cole ,regardless who sung it first nat king is the only person we associate with this song......and he sounds like him......

  • congratulations.

  • I had such a major crush on this guy, when I was a teenager. He has such a great voice and that clean cut look!!

  • he is a ginger

  • omg!!!.. GINGER WITH A NIGGER VOICE!!!

    THATS AWESOME!

  • hes not a ginger but ok.

  • how is he NOT a ginger?

  • Because he just isnt?

  • sounds like a ginger response to me, GINGER LOVER!!!!!

  • umm, ok that was a very stupid response bye.
