  • Hi JohanI remember seeing this video of yours a few years back. I am also a South African, been living in Auckland for the past 2 years. Brought my Jabiru SK with me in a container. Was ZU-CEN now is ZK-CEN. Engine was ser.no:106 and had loads of problems and failures until my recent in-flight engine failure. Decided to get a new engine and have done 2.5 hours on it since installation. Airframe 10 years old with around 400hrs on it - loads of places to fly to in NZ. warren.butler@xtra.co.nz

  • ever tried driving it down the road?

  • Hey how long did it take you to fully complete the Jabiru

  • Around 580 hours worked over 18 months. She has now done almost 300 hours flying!

  • :) you did a good job

  • You forgot to put the wings on.

  • I see you restrained yourself well. When I started my rotax up for the first time in the Thruster there was a bit of wingless taxi practice going on;)

  • Yep - I was a bit scared of the neighbours!

  • ur neighbours love you.
