  • This is a joke, normally Congolese can sing well in kiswahili. The rest of it is just ok i.e in their congolese style, etc.

  • which group is this? this is one of the best versions of malaika....lol

  • Include all voices -showdy performance!

  • nice perfomence and so great

  • FAKE FAKE FAKE

  • A fantastic arrangement of the "MALAIKA" sheet-music (including the original rolling-bass), PLUS the lyrics, rhymed translations, chords and programme notes about the song, can be found by Googling 'konkani songbook'. Really fabulous!

  • Am E-Afrikan and speak kiSwahili. I challenge EA musicians to sing SA languages nicely too if they can.

  • gives me chills when i hear this 1st time

  • Mais le guitariste est pas mal du tout . Le ATALAKU a qd meme essayer given he is not from DRC and probably doesn`t understyand Lingala . This is good stuff .

  • ahhhhhhh donc south africa parle lingala a jadore nkosi sikeleli africa bien le melange

  • why can i find the original by fadhili!!! i hate all these

  • I know just watched or listen to fadhili on this very you tube. just search by his name.

    Goodluck

  • This is not the Malaika song we know of, poorly done, they need to listen to the Fadhili William malaika, the best ever.

  • Fadali Williams the original version and the writer or for that Miriam Makeba this version is a shambles and does not do justice to the beautiful song Malaiki. I speak swahili and Iknow howit should sound.

  • Boney M's version is fantastic, though.

  • its ur name but,u are american so you have no clue wat they are saying ama/

  • thats my name

  • ms makeba say, malaika, nakupenda malaika +2 ningekuoa maliwe, ningekuoa dada nashindawa na mali sina we,ningekuoa malaika +2. pesa zasumbua roho yangu +2. nami nifanyeje, kijana mwenzio nashindawa mali sina we,ningekuoa malaika, kidege, hukuwaza kidige +2

  • They've murdered the song. I'd rather Angelique Kidjo's version. At least she sticks to the format without the dombolo bits even though she doesn't speak Swahili and mumbles a lot. Dombolo is great but has it's place, and that's not with the classic Malaika song. My tuppence worth :-((

  • I agree, the dombolo beat kills the beauty of this song.

  • Swahili the most soft spoken language esp from Tanzania, am from Tanzania myself, love my language, love it, amazing language!!

  • I consider swahili a very lovely, musical language. I wish I could learn how to speak it.

  • nemot lau

  • People! Hey people! This is total destruction nad utter corruption of a lovely song. Malaika is my all time favorite song and that is not how it should be sang. If the late Fadhili William sees this I dont know what his responce would be

  • This is for the e dropping disco generation - complete and utter abomination I agree.

Kidjo for soul, Mamma Africa for sweetness.

  • Its definately the love for this song that many people are trying to sing it and changings many parts of the song. The original song is the real deal but, its definately a great trial that these people are trying to sing a language that they don't know. The language is murdered in the process but I feel the love for the original song. Hongera (Congratulations).

  • nakupenda miriam makeba's version

  • This song originally is swahili but this ppl dont knw how to sing it properly and have added their part!

  • If someone has the portuguese, spanish or english translation from this lirics, please, post it. Ialso would like to know which language or dialect is this. I think it"s a very musical idiom.

  • This language is Swhahili and Lingara

malaika is a name and she say Malaika i was gonna marrie you but i dont have money

    From USA

  • obrigado por responder. vium video com legendas em ingles e ajudou muito a compreender essa bela cançao.

  • o Ritmo lembra um pouco paralamas do sucesso em ALAGADOS.

  • you willnever see white people dancing like this and the reason is simple. White people don't have no swaying

  • good things from mother Africa. thanks for posting this.

  • I was named after this song...

  • my daughter also called MALAIKA, I speak kiswahili too
