Agree, The Performance is not a typical Shirley song, it's not one of my favourites but i love it's lyrics. You said that you don't like After The Rain, too, so it seems that you are not very impressed of her new songs. I think there are a few great songs on The Performance, zB No Good About Goodbye, Almost There, I Love You Now oder auch This Time, which song from her new album is your favourite?

@Thorneycroft37 my favourite is no good about goodbye-i wish she would ended this song with a big note.listen to songs like think of me,this is my life-bassey belt the best-her voice is not at best in the lower register,there are other singers who are better in "whispering"a song,like doris day.bassey has an amazing belt-maybe the best belting voice in the world.she needs a dramatic ballad or a naughty song loke kiss me honey or sombody like me.most of todays popsongs are improperly for her.
