  • I'm not an opera fan but I love all types of music. This is perfect. I am gonna find this movie and watch it.

  • je trouve sa très jolie

  • i agree, its fantastic, but, to me, it feels a bit too flashy and melodramatic.

  • For all opera fans : you MUST see this movie !! It's fenomenal !

  • @wildmustang67 how is it called? can i watch it online?, cuz probably i wouldnt find it for rent

  • @conguitowsk It's called " Carmen" , I doubt that you can watch it online. You can try to rent it from Netflix, but my best bet is on Ebay - you can buy it , it's totally worth it !

  • @wildmustang67 thanks a lot, i'll look for it!

  • Raimondi is Escamillo!

  • Raimondi owns this role.

  • we saw it in our music lesson xD

Saludos.

  • SUPERB !

  • Absolument merveilleux!!

    L♥

  • wow

  • "redhead529"

Try to learn a bit of classical music and then judge...clear voice!

  • @kaprun100 I have quite an extensive background in classical usic and opera in particular. I just don't particularly like Raimondi's voice and interpretation. He's a bit too majestic and not enough of a "rock star" in this role, in my opinion. No offense intended. People, even perople with a classical music background, can disagree on singers and music in ganeral.

  • @bassfanne45 That's because he's singing opera, not classic rock.

  • Oh, my God! What a singer! What an Escamillo! What a man! I do believe that Carmen fell in love with THIS toreador. She had no choice :)))

Anyway, this is the best performance. BRAVO!!!

  • coś pięknego!

  • mmm ruggero raimondi ding dong

  • This is such amazing music, it brings tears to my eyes.

  • this is yummy! Haven't indulged in Carmen 4 abt 10 years.

  • He is wonderful as Scarpia, too!!!

  • Raimondi è il migliore Escamillo di sempre! Per voce, tecnica, coinvolgimento, interpretazione. Eccezionale! BRAVO !

  • The only person who should sing this role. Bravo Ruggero Raimondi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes Torres you are absolutely right.

  • On the old times in Spain the Torero has been called Toreador. So, the name of the bullfighter is correct, Torero and Toreador it's right used.

  • toreador es igual k torero

    toreador =torero

  • IT'S NOT TOREADOR, it's TORERO

  • lol no...

  • what? =X

  • Toreador not torero (in this song)

  • yeah no it's toreador

  • i like this part and 5:14

    Toreador, en garde

    toreador, toreador.

Et songe bien oui song en combattant,

qu' un oeuil noir te regarde.

    Et que l'amour t'attend?

    Toreador, l' amour l' amour t'attend...

  • I don't know why but i love the shot between 0:54 and 1:05 wher the music starts playing and they start walking foward and Carmen just has a big grin on her face....

  • people how can i get the full version of this in 2 days?

i can't find it on the net and don't have enough money to buy!

  • you can download it from emule..

  • is it "l'amour t'attend" or is it "la mort t'attend" that he sings?

  • It's "L'amour t'attend" ^^

  • It is "L'amour t'attend" (Love's awaiting you).

  • vynikajícízvuk, konečně něco ve stereu....

  • Viva España

  • Isn't it funny that all the escenarios are set up in Spain, and they sing in French? It's fantastic!

  • The Opera is actually french.

The story takes place in Seville.

  • yeah, that's what she's saying... you do know that Seville is in Spain, right?

perhaps I don't understand what you're trying to say with your comment that wasn't said by Claudia...

  • ya the guy singing is Escamillo. which i watched this about 2 weeks ago and i watched it in my music class and almost know every word xD

    Awesome vid. ++ awesome movie!

  • The BEST Escamillo is Bernard Imbert.

    E.C.

And yes, enjoy watching this opera. It's THE BEST!!!

  • Alternate words:

    Toreador

    don't spit on the floor

    use the cuspidor

    that's what it's for

Just some fun with opera which I happen to love.

  • haha, that´s really funny! Love this opera the most of all operas that I have ever seen.

  • If you like a little fun with opera look for Victor Borge and his Mozart opera on YOUTUBE. He has one singer in the wrong role and opera. Also look for "All the great operas in 10 minutes" Great fun.

  • Ruggero Raimondi and Sherill Milnes are best Escamillo!!
