The mk6 is just a refined mk5 (upgraded materials, chassis strengthening, etc). Actually the mk"6" should have been the mk5 when they were migrating from the 4. But In terms of looks, the mk5 is a lot better.

@vo7tage, i completely disagree with that.
mk6 looks WAY better.
mk5 is a huge load of junk..
compared to the mk1 golf, the mk6 makes it look like a REAL golf, not a large and fat family car.
