what u have to do is use the person finder thingy to locate the baby then u travel to the location, but make sure someone is at the home first if it is a home,then u will be invited in and once ur in pick up the baby and leave, u could also go to options then go to the edit town and u could split up that family and put the baby in wth ur family, and if u nedd an adult wth it them then get one of the adults and just switch them out later

on the sims 3 if you were friends with the person who took the kid you can go into the map mode and find out wich house they live in and visit them and try and take the baby back...its never happened to me before but that is just a guess of what you could do.

There's a mod I use to help control this... they retrieve missing toddlers and make the story progression better (so things HAPPEN lmao )

They've also got a few other mods... it doesn't have to 'cheat' the game, it just tweaks problems like this >.>

Hi! I think I know why your kid got stolen. There's a trait that Sims have that starts with a "k" and it means, they can accidently end up with something and take it with them. I have Sims 3 and that has happened to my daughter Jade. She went over to a friend's house and came home with a roll of paper towels. My sim told her to take it back and she did.

Oh my, the exact thing happened to me! I had a sim baby that was just born, and it was one of my other kid sims's birthday. I invited a sim that looks kind of like Davy, and for the whole party he was carrying my baby. When the party ended, I tried to get him to put the baby down, but he left with her. She wasn't in my family anymore, even though the game said she was still part of the household. Soon my sim got married, I rearranged the family, and I found her living in someone else's house! :(
