@baconbits12321 I saw on another video it can be read on a mac os x thats what I have I have a macbook and it said if your version is like 10.5 it can work on imovie it can easily read it hope this helps
@baconbits12321 Just hook it up to your mac, Im pretty sure Iphoto will recognize it and give you a choice of where to save the files, dont worry about not being able to use the included software that sony gives you, its shitty
I'm saying ON YOUTUBE, there is ABSOLUTELY no difference in 1080p and 1080i.
Progressive, and interlaced look the SAME on YouTube, and even on an HDTV there is no noticeable different, except SOMETIMES when watching sports. Calm down.
Is this a super small camera, or does it fit pretty comfortably in your hands? I really don't want a camera that is super small. Also, does it take a long time to upload videos?
I don't really know how to describe it. It's not "super" small, but its not huge either. I would say its about the same size as my hand, so its perfect for me.
Upload time depends on how long the video is that you record, and what quality setting out have it set to.
If I remember correctly, this video was on the highest quality setting. It upload relatively quickly, only taking a minute or two, but it took a while for it to process to HD.
I dont get it..its 4 megapixles but the quality is great...looks like a great camera..ima gt it for christmas...should i get it,,,,i film fireworks and hunting so i want a good clear cam that pics up sound good.
wow. youtube has changed this video to full HD. like 1080p congratulations man, none of my 80 or so videos are 1080p yet. nice video. what is that noise in the background. was there a plane crash?
I am a little bit confused. How did you upload this in 1080p? i thought the cx-100 only shot in 1080i? great quality though, although when it gives the 1080p option it stutters a little bit, however the 720 lookes great! let me know please.
on the highest setting its about 60 minutes, the next down is about 120 minutes, the next is about 150 minutes, the lowest setting is about 200 minutes.
All per 8gb. You have 8gb internal, and they make up to 16gb cards now I believe.
All of the settings are high quality, and there is little to no pixelation, so using it on the lowest setting is still very good picture.
wow it looks nice! i'm getting this camera over the summer for a really big project i am planning to do. Thank you for showing me that i am not wrong with my choice of this camera!
if you have an ebay account check my page. currently selling two of these. 7 hours to go, bids are only at $66 dollars!!!

don't be a dick.
it doesn't specify.
it simply says "1920x1080 resolution" which could be 1080i or 1080p.
And when its on YouTube, who cares? There's no difference.
TheFoodly 2 years ago

Question...can you upload (to megaupload or something) the original MTS file ???
GALB722 2 years ago
Are asking is it possible, or are you asking me specifically to upload this file?
If the first question, then yeah you can.
If the second question, I'm sorry, but I have since had to reformat my computer, and no longer have the original file.
TheFoodly 2 years ago
holy shit. watching this in 1080p is just insane.

how do you opload 1080p videos to youtube ?

RadioRock97 2 years ago
It's actually downscaled.
The original was 1080p, but YouTube's maximum is 720p (this vid is 720p)
And nope, no plane crash.
The was the sound of tractor trailer going down the highway, and at the end, it was wind going into the cam's mic.
TheFoodly 2 years ago

You know what, I'll be honest, I'm not sure it was 1080p or 1080i...
I just assumed it was 1080p.
Specs for camera don't specify, it just says 1920x1080 (which could be 1080p or 1080i)
TheFoodly 2 years ago
Now you have an option to select the size of the HD vid.

Smooth Slow Record:
Increases the record rate from 60 fps to 240 fps to capture 3 seconds of fast motion and play back the video in 12 seconds.
HavokProductions1 2 years ago
yeah it can and for smooth slow motion it goes up to 180fps
Hyminym 2 years ago
would it still be in HD?
DrOpHaTeRs 2 years ago
how much video can you put on this camera cause i know it's only 8gb of storage. it says 3 hours on some sites is that true?
FloSK8Team 2 years ago
It depends on what setting you have it on.
There are 4 settings.
on the highest setting its about 60 minutes, the next down is about 120 minutes, the next is about 150 minutes, the lowest setting is about 200 minutes.
All per 8gb. You have 8gb internal, and they make up to 16gb cards now I believe.

Yeah, it looks great.
And to be honest, this was one the third setting.
There are 4 settings, the first one is best quality, last one least.
I didn't realize that.
I had another video up, but apparently there was a copyright issue with a song playing in the background...
TheFoodly 2 years ago
how is this in low lighting conditions?
Zxander34 2 years ago
I have another video up (Boredom) which is was in indoor lighting. Not really low lighting, but not natural light.
