pregnancy/birth needs a TENS machine specifically designed for use at this time. It has a button to turn it off and on when you need it. With instruction it has been found to be safe and a great way of reducing the pain you feel during early abour.
@FreeBritain1 I used one during the birh of my eigth baby. Sure wish I'd had one seven other times!! Felt pressure, but not pain and was able to really work with it and enjoy the whole process so much more.
@granmary8 I had approval for use during pregnancy (7mos +) for intervals not to exceed 45 minutes. It is very helpful. (I wouldn't use without Doctor approval) I plan to use it for labor as well.
Oh how lovely :-).
It's not quite the same thing as raging M.E. pain, during a huge auto-immune response though. :-) x

I just used a tens machine for the first time and in the instructions it states not to be used during pregnancy.

@FreeBritain1 It shouldn't be used DURING pregnancy except during labor and delivery.
